Default RRR today?

How did everyone run today? I had problems all day with the rearend. Broke some spider gears or something. The best I could do was 11.58@120.66 with a crappy spinning one wheel 1.74 60ft. I think my rearend broke on my last pass of the season because it was messed up on my first pass today. This will be my 3rd nuked 9". I'll tear it apart tomorrow after work and check it out.

Anyways, I had a good time today and finally got to meet a few of you. Looks like we had a good LS1/LT1 turn out.

RDTA ya''ll were parked right next to us all day. I didn't know that was ya'll or I would of introduced myself. BTW, that truck was runnin!! I myself was having problems with the stock posi unit along with my clutch but hope to have it fixed before march.

Cainsw that's right. I'm gonna try to work on some draglites/ tires. My car felt strong, but I could tell with the tranny/ rearend that all my power wasn't gettin to the ground. I was fighting the tranny all day, but was expecting a couple of tenths faster than a 12.9.

Also, I'm still running the stock 10 bolt so babying it out of the hole is almost a must. I was leaving at about 2500 slipping the clutch so I would be able to drive it home lol.

If I would have thought about it (before it was too late) you coulda tried out my skinnies. You would have got you another 2.5-3 tenths.

It really was a great day at RRR today, the weather was just beautiful. Brian, Frank, & Daddy Frank ya'll got one hell of a truck there, I watched your run and that 10.05 was nice. lilmangto that goat ran good to, didn't I see a 12.62 pass? We even got to make a run together and I got you on a hole shot. Josh ran real sweet with a 12.9. I really hate it when someone has problems and Chris had rear end trouble from the start, but running with one rear leg gone it still limped pretty damn good, 11.58. Chris's uncle and dad both I think had their best passes. Me I had my best 60' to date 1.884 & best 1/4 at 12.621. Next time we'll all try to park together so we can talk more, but it was great meeting ya'll. By the way I forgot to tell ya'll we got Molly from RRR jumping in at LS1tech.com to see what got us going and she really likes the site.

caddobass,

yea i was very happy with the turn out of my car, i wish all couldve got together though it wouldve been that much more fun, i ran the 12.62 and spun bout a car length and a half and spun into second so once i pay for my car to b fixed ima get me some bfgoodwrench tires to fit the 17s.

hey i got a question for yall- what is the rpm limit for the stock springs in these motors, im not sure whats in it but im turnin some high rpms at the track and i dont want to scatter one of them springs?(i did it once in my dirt car).

Yea, I didn't get to meet "Crash" lilmangto but I did see him laying down some nice numbers. That thing sounds sweet! Kinda looks cool with that silver nose.
Wayne, they both run new best today. John run 11.48 and dad run 11.59. We found out on the last pass he had way too much air in his rr airbag. Then he went to make another pass and thats when he had his problems. Wish my other leg would have been working. I only had 1 pass with a 60ft better than a 1.80, but it did run 11.68 on that pass. I woulda killed for my usual 1.60. Oh well, it was cool spinning in 2-3 and 3-4 lol
But hey, we could have something good going here.

Probably 64-6500 is as far as I'd even think about going on a stock spring and thats pushing it.

I've had Comp Cams 918's on mine for about 3.5 years with no problems. Probably 500-600 passes and about 15000 miles on'em. Shifting @ about 6500 according to my shift light.
Stockers will die quick, fast and hard shifting @6750 and it will not be nice either!

Hey Josh who took the pic of you coming out of the water box? Do you think you could talk them into being our event photographer? As forgetful Wayne can not even remember to bring the camera. Nineball at LS1tech would like for us to post some pics of the event and I'm not even sure I could post them if I did get them in focus.
