Newer than the lq4.....you don't have drill tap holes for your brackets....lq4 and lq9 are both 6.0 blocks......I know there is more to it than that....just trying to give what info I know

The LQ4 is just the general purpose 6.0l found in the Gasoline HD Trucks. The LQ9 is found in the Silverado SS's and the Cadillac Escalades, from the Factory it has different Pistons for higher Compression, the rest of the Internals are the same. Factory the LQ4 is 9.5:1, the LQ9 is 10.1:1.
Both Blocks are Iron and have the same dimensions/specs.

Which spots are drilled/tapped for the Brackets..the last LQ9 block I saw had everything still filled in, it came out of a '01 Escalade..

ac compressor,alternator,..etc,etc.......This is a new block, mine from LME came the same way, everything was pre tapped....this one came SDPC...$600.00 is a sweet deal, considering guys are buying used ones in the parts for sale section for $500.00..
