Hello from a new Alabama Sponsor
I just wanted to take a quick minute and say hello to everyone here. We're new as a sponsor, but not as a shop. We started SPEEDSOUTH a little over 6 years ago and we're located in Pelham, Alabama (just South of B'ham) and we work with a lot of late model GM LSx powered vehicles. Some of the current projects here are:
-69 Camaro with modded LS6/T56, etc.(weekend cruiser)
-02 T/A forged LS7, direct port and single nozzle, RPM built 4L80E(street car)
-70 Datsun 240Z with a 12.5:1 iron 402/Mamo L92, plate kit etc.(drag car)
-90 Mazda Miata with a forged 348 LS1, AFR, FAST, dry sump, etc(road course car)
-06 TBSS with Magnacharger 122HH, etc.(daily driver)
-04 CTSV (FOR SALE) custom ProCharger system, long tubes, Corsa, Twin Disc McLeod, etc. 560rwhp @ 7.5psi, 608 rwhp @ 9psi(both 93 octane no knock count!!) $35K(daily driver)
-several others
We're a dealer or distibutor for many of the top name brands out there including ProCharger, AFR, McLeod, MagnaCharger, and many more. Our ASE Certified and GM Certified Technicians offer installation services and custom tuning on any of the products we sell.
We're excited to be a sponsor on LS1TECH and we look forward to hearing from anyone here that may need assistance with anything LS.

I need to throw in my two cents here as well.
Robert and the gang at Speed South are a great bunch of guys. Honest and passionate about what they do and I place a high emphasis on both of those qualities.
We have been working together for over a year on a couple of different projects and these guys have been a pleasure to work with. Some of the projects I have been more personally involved with should be hitting the dyno soon and we are all looking foward to the results.
If your local I would highly recommend giving these guys a call....
Cheers,
Tony

Thanks guys for the warm welcome, we're certainly glad to be here.
To answer your question Jacket, I ran a mapquest on a knoxville address to here and it came back with 4 hours, I doubt that inlcludes getting lost trying to use the inaccurate mapquest directions , but if I recall correctly I think it took me about 3 hours or so last year when I made the trip. Once you get to the B'ham area you can use our map and driving directions from our website SPEEDSOUTH.com. Here's the link:

Robert, what color is the CTSV for sale?
Also, do ya'll have any interest in doing an LSx conversion on a 1998 Blazer?
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/831661-shop-near-atlanta-southeast-lsx-1998-blazer-install.html
Lastly, do ya'll have any stock LS1 shortblocks or take-out longblocks laying around?

I dunno if Robert has gotten back to you or not but the CTSV is Silver.
The LSx conversion is a question for Robert. I'll get him in contact with you asap.
Thanks,
Sean

ok Well I guess there is room for both sides of the story..
from What I have seen with speedsouth.. its a pretty good shop.. good work.. but you guys came off as ******** to me.. You should know my buddy Zack.. he had a red miata then bought a Blk gto... I came there with him a couple times..
Its kinda like "if you dont plan on spending alot of money here then go away"
ps. The CTS-V is ******* bad *** , the Twin Ws6s are awesome also..

Hi there , resident Gestapo LS1tech modernatorer here. The kids can be kinda ornery here but are pretty good fellers for the most part( except for that lnuxhakr , he's a lil' screwy) . Anyhoo , if you need some help with anything , just shoot me a PM and I'll beat the offender until he screams uncle.

Thanks for the offer badjuju, this is certainly a different approach, and different than what we’ve seen so far both publicly and via pm. I would’ve preferred a little more of a private “complaint”, but hey…
State69. Next time you come by with Zack be sure to bring your wallet with some money in it, identify yourself, and I’ll get one of the guys to give you a BIG HUG.
Seriously though, give me a call or shoot me a pm and we can discuss further. I hate that you left feeling that way, but maybe I can use badjuju’s approach on the offender.
Y’all have a Happy New Year!
