At least you have a good excuse to do a nice build now. Pull the motor, sell the rear mount turbo, build a 408 front mount turbo monster!

Have you figured out what caused your burn't piston. You might want to check into that also,so it dosn't happen again!

I wish people could have the common decency to look at the whole picture before they blame the tune. NO MATTER WHAT it is ALWAYS the fault of the guy who tuned it.

Your turbo kit was having a problem. You said you were going to fix it and bring it back for me to redyno. The air fuel was 11 to 1 at WOT and you only had 16 degrees of timing. Not hardly the stuff that blows motors. Why didn't you bring the car back to redyno like you said you were to verify everything was working properly before running it hard on the street?

You're right, we should look at the whole picture before playing the blame game, totally agree with on that. I was ask MY OPIONION on what could have cause this, now that said before the turbo was on my car, it ran fine and then turbo was put on(new turbo) from what i know it was working properly.I was getting up to boost(5lbs) so i think the turbo check out good....and on the dyno it was doing this

so i decided to upgrade my valvesprings and change the plugs and it still did the same thing.......and let me say im not expert engine builder or tuner...i know very little about engines, thats why i pay people....i dont know why it was doing what it did or what the problems were and was never told what the problems were and i know on a tune you dont troubleshoot problems i understand that, but again i dont know what the problems were and i dont think you did either...soooooooooo what i did i took off my cats and put an off road y pipe to my stock manifolds and took it to get tune at another well know shop in the area, which i think anybody would do, you know get a second opinion, because my first opinion didnt work for me, and thats where i got the news that i blew two pistons and was ask what kind of tune i had on my car, and said i didnt know, maybe i should've have ask you...

What that being said if anybody or you geoff has any ideas on what it could have been my issues, please share your knowledge, and ill say again im now expert mechanic or tuner, with the info you have please let me know....yea its kinda late but would like to know so i dont make the same mistake twice.....and im not bashing any shop or tuner, just telling how i see it or maybe i just bitter that i blew two pistons...

Did you remove the cats, before or after the 1st. attempt to tune. The reason I ask is if you did it after, and you have a manual boost cotroller, the boost will rise with less backpressure. If you are using the wastegate spring pressure then it should be ok.As far as your graph looks,it's almost like the boost is not stable at your pre-set level. The boost rises and falls and your power is doing the same thing. I am not familiar with yur set-up,so it could be anything .

Hunter he is using the wastegate to regulate boost and the gauge shows a steady 5psi with very little lag. It looks like he's making about 300hp at around 4700 and then all hell brakes loose. Anyone else have any ideas?

Who is going to put together the engine? You could just try and pull one of the head to see how bad the damage is. I am not sure if you can do that with the engine in the car on a f-body thought.
