When you guys were running it looked like you where trying to manually shift the car. Next time let the tranny do it's job. The first time I've ever manually shifted my car is when I got my shift kit because of the 2-3 shift lag. But if your tranny is stock with no mods then put it in D and mash the gas. I should have my ALDL cable from Moates by the end of next month to help with your tune later on down the road. Start with a basic tune up and start saving for a new GM opti-spark. Because it will go out on you sooner or later. So when it does you'll have your replacement on the shelf.

A t-stat does you virtually no good without the fans being dropped down via a tune. A car with a 160 stat will still run @ 210 if the fans aren't programmed to kick on early. Only during HWY driving will you see any kind of cooler temps.

i was pretty impressed last night craig, at how smooth your car was at cruising at those speeds lol i felt every single bump we took FML!!!
nah man, it's not your fault. you're were just trying to help me out. I'm the one who didn't just take my time and stay focused. But yeah, definately need a lot of practice. Honestly I think a line lock will help me out a lot. i will have less to worry about when doing a burnout then...i will be able to focus on the throttle more then as well as being in the right gear...lol
i'm pretty sure i messed something up on that last pass though....i think my torque arm might have bent or something....there was a new/strange vibration when i was drving back from the track last night and i could here some new metallic rattle sound...i'm going to go check it out in a little bit.
Need to bleed brakes, plug master cylinder line in, bleed clutch, and then finish the nitrous and I will be done with installing parts. Just need to adjust pinion angle, fix rattling exhaust, and put the relocation brackets on. Tried calling you today Craig so I could get these brakes and master done. I can't get the stock line to release from the slave. I cut the old line to get the old one out and new one in.
I can square him away on the fans if he gets credits.
