Anyone that was not a straight up track car never broke into the 10's yesterday. I didn't try because of the tuning issues I was having, but you know 10's are always a squeeze away. I managed to get my stuff together at the end of the day and taking home the money. It was pretty cool, but the turn out was low compared to last year as I was told.

at what point does it fall on its face? does the car start to drive than commit a huge surge and wont pull past it? or is it that it will not even idle?

Last year was rescheduled a couple times cause of weather and that killed the turn out. I missed it due to forgetting the reschedule date. If I remember the turnout, this year was better than the last two years, I could be wrong though. SDR is a good track, just a lot of the ATL people don't want to make the trip down.

Carl (I think that was your name, met you outside Wolf Muffler shop) - The dead spot is pretty much as you described it, where its takes off then just doesn't make anymore power even though it is not stuttering. Guy that worked on it for me said to check the MAF, I ended up swapping the MAF completely and it still did it. Started logging the numbers and when giving it gas the lb/min for the MAF drops out. Like I said, unplugged it and it was fine. The pink wire on the connector looks like it needs some TLC.

Hard to tell if they are 16's or 17's from the pic, but Pontiac did offer the 16' WS6 style wheels as an option, so could be either.

Yep, had it tuned about 3 weeks ago, put down 350 hp/370 tq. The guy has been working with me to get it straightened out too. I have been emailing him logs of it and that is how we came down to the MAF being quirky. I'll finally get it back to him sometime later next week also.

it really sounds like your MAF tables might be off. we were doing tuning on my MAF tables and if the numbers arent linear as they increase, then it will cause a huge hiccup, and the car wont rev/pull any higher in the RPMs. This may not be your problem, but might be something to check on. you dont make any changes yourself? or do any mail order stuff do you?

i got my hooker LT's yesterday. hopefully the weather's nice this weekend so i can put them in. got some DR's for the rear on the way as well. And I just bought a LS6 intake manifold w/ ported TB. Does anybody know if Young's F-Body Motorsports is still in business? I only ask cuz i ordered my lid from them but the order still hasn't posted and i've been trying to call them but there is no answer. I recieved an automated response e-mail stating that they recieved my order right after i made it and sent them an e-mail to cinfirm, but nothing, no word at all. I'd really like to get that lid to go with the rest of the mods but don't want to order from anywhere else and end up paying for 2 lids.

let me do a little back checking, but i think that was a place that i put in a 600 dollar order with, never recieved anything, and took me 5 months to get my money back from them. they kept avoiding my calls, emails, everything. now, dont assume its the same company just yet. im going to chow and will check when i get back.

hate to say this man, but i went to Young's website, and that is the same company i had problems with in the past. i was deployed when i had to deal with them, and finally i got the owner on the phone and had to threaten him with JAG before he would refund my money.

Grease, I got a lid and some other things. If you can wait til the 21st of april I will square you away. I have an 85mm maf and hptuners as well. The maf was used for about 6 minutes then I took it off and put the ported stocker back on. Be advised that hooker super comps are very thin walled. I blew a blocked emission fitting off and had to use a soda can and hose clamps to get me home. I will also have a 3" duals setup that I will probably be willing to part with if the money is right.

I can work something out if you can't wait. I'm sure Craig would be willing to show you the parts if you needed them immediately.
