Default Bologna Nationals Car Show

Went to Pella, Iowa yesterday to the "Bologna Nationals" Car Show. My friend Brad who lives there invited us to come down and go with him.

BEAUTIFUL DAY and a beautiful location for the car show. We were all around the town square in Pella. Temperature was low 80's and there was a good breeze, low humidity and lots of big, beautiful shade trees. They had around 300 cars there of all different kinds. Everything from hot rods to muscle cars to classic cars, etc.

Anyway...............here are a few pics of my car along with Brad's. Brad owns the very first GMMG Camaro. It is a Phase IIX Berger SS and it is PR-1:

Which one? Mine (ZL1) or Brad's (Berger SS) or both?

Yeah...................there are four of us that are pretty close friends - we all have GMMG Camaros and all four of us live pretty close to each other here in Iowa..............

Charlie (HotRod1974) - Phase IIX 2002 Sebring Silver Hot Rod Magazine Camaro #1974
Brad (PR-1) - Phase IIX 2000 Bright Rally Red Berger SS Camaro PR-1
Karl (he doesn't visit this forum board) - Phase I 2001 Onyx Black Intimidator SS Camaro # 45
myself (02_Phase2_ZL1) - Phase II 2002 Onyx Black ZL1 Supercar Camaro # 17

Here is a couple of pic's of all four of them together at a car show last summer:

That's awesome

Cars look great! I don't think I've ever seen more then one GMMG together at a show. Most people down here don't even know what they are. Every time we go to a cruise-in/ show it's like an education lesson on what GMMG cars are, and we have to explain it each time.

One quick question, where did you get your poster/ show board? We're looking for something for our cars.

Thanks.

The only real one I've ever seen here at a public show was a 2002 ZL1 phase 3 in navy blue. There was a yellow Berger SS with black stripes at the Dallas Auto Show for the 2006 Camaro Concept unveiling though. It was known as part of the "Rare Pair". Not many Bergers down here, that's for sure.

We have the same problem too............each time we have to explain why are Camaros are special................why they are a limited build...........who GMMG is......................who Berger Chevrolet is................etc.

As for my show board, a friend of mine is a graphic design artist for Pactiv Corporation (Glad Trash Bags, Sandwich Bags, etc.) and he made my show board for me.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I'll have to find someone too.

And, Ya it is tiring. Every show is the same experience for us!

Here is my ZL1 with a couple of other ZL1's and a Dick Harrell Camaro at the Fred Gibb Car Show a couple of years ago:
