Default Saw '93 Firehawk #003 today at Cars & Coffee and it's for sale

I went to Cars & Coffee in Plano, TX today and saw a '93 Firehawk. To my surprise, it's #003 of the ~200 or so they made.

I really don't know Firebirds all that well, but it looked very nice and thought I'd make a topic about it. It has only 17k on it, and it's for sale at RUF Auto Centre in Carrollton, TX.

As far as condition goes... I didn't thoroughly look over the car since it was so cold outside, but the car sounded healthy and stock, definitely looked stock except for a battery tender on the battery, and the only possible flaws were...: the flip up headlights didn't seem to be aligned as well as they possibly could have been, and I could have sworn all Firebirds had a screaming chicken on the back between the taillamps.

Here's a link: http://inventory.racperformance.com/...k-Dallas-Texas

If anybody is interested, I can upload my pics I took today. I also took a video of the car starting up and revving. It sounded exactly like a stock LT1 should, so I don't believe it's been messed with.

The guy who brought the car there was named David. A really nice guy, I enjoyed talking to him.

The price is pretty optimistic, but considering how hard it is to find a nearly perfect early 4th gen these days, I wouldn't argue that it isn't worth $20k. It's just unlikely that they'll get $20k for it.

Somebody will Buy it.... RUF attracts alot of high end Customers. They mostly deal in Exotics. I don't see this car setting on their lot for long.

It's not the third Firehawk EVER made. There were a some 92 Formula Firehawks that were built as well. I wouldn't pay $20k because it's #3 of 200 93 LT1's. I'd only pay $20k because it's a super clean low mileaged Hawk. That in itself is a rarity.

there were either 23 or 25 firehawks made in 92. THOSE are the real rare, expensive ones.

There's a purple 92 up here that a guy bought his son for graduation in 92. He still has it. It's got some frontend damage and no engine anymore, and still not for sale. I've been asking him since 95 to sell it to me.

that would not be hawk then. maybe a formula or TA, but not a hawk. was never a purple 92 hawk built, plus of the 25 that were built, all are still intact and running with low miles and certainly no body damage. as far as this 93 being worth $20k, i would say not, but certainly is VERY clean! ive also seen 1993 #0002 and it has roughly 1500 miles on it. extremely clean! as far as i know, its not for sale though. owned by a very nice man though.

Atleast there are no Opti problems......yet. Swap in an LS3.....then it's worth $20-25K.

If the car was a more unusual color, even I'd be interested in it. I'm not a big fan of Firebirds, but if this Firehawk was Sunfire Yellow... then I'd have to make an exception!

"and I could have sworn all Firebirds had a screaming chicken on the back between the taillamps."

formula's were blank in the center section up until LS1, i think. i know they were thru the mid 90's, but i think this went all the way until 98.

there were only 25 hawks made between 91 and 92, however they go to #27 on total build...somewhere along the line 2 cars (forget which numbers but i think # 16 and 23) were ordered, but never built. at least this is what i've read in my books here at home. i did at one time several years ago see one sitting on a pontiac dealer lot in northeren IN, i assumed it was used. i still kick my self in the *** for not going to at least look at it. all i remember about it was screaming...holy ****, there's a REAL firehawk!!! nobody else in the car cared about my enthusiasim.

Early gen firehawks with that low of mileage and in untouched condition are getting pretty hard to come by
I think someone made a good investment for the future with that car.
