Default Camaro ES?

I was looking through a magazine the other day, I think it was an old issue GMHTP. There was a picture of a Camaro ES in there and they claimed they were rare. It had an ES emblem where the z28/ss emblem is at. What is a Camaro ES

Could you please scan that?

I haven't heard of that car before. This is the only mention of it that I've found online, and they didn't know what it was either: http://camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=340153

i dont have a scanner but it looked like it was a 2000-2002 because of the rims. Didn't have anything special just looked like a z28 or v6 and it was red.

I thought they only did that in the mid-late 70's. It was "Esprit Spirit" (on firebirds, not camaro's) something to do with the European influence on cars comming into the US at the time nothing special just a badge on the car to give a European name, like the Berlinetta.

Makes more since it is a type-o and they meant to put "RS". SLP did do a few V-6 cars w/ an RS package 2001 & 2002 I believe. Stripes & 10 more rwhp from a cat-back exhaust.

Esprit was a regular Firebird model for 11 years (see Firebird Models link in my sig). 'Esprit' is the French word for 'Spirit'. I've never heard of this 'Esprit Spirit' thing?

I think you're right. My Bad. It must be a type-o and they meant RS.

I think I remember from back on the SLP board days. That Ed Hamburger made a special appearance edition V-6 car for his wife as her daily driver. I thought that it was called an ES and they made the special badges for it and made it look like a v-8 car or something????

Actually it is an ES Camaro . . . Scott Settlemire, had some custom badges made for his Mom's 2002 Camaro. Her name is Elaine, thus the "ES" Camaro. Just something fun and personal.

The car has chrome snow flakes, silver stripes and a Z28 exhaust.

Nice that you noticed.

My Bad. Now that you mention it, I think it was Scott Settlemire, and not Hamburger like I originally said. Thanks.
