Is this true about SS's? My cousin was telling me that in 2001 they changed the cam in the ss but found that it was as fast or faster than the base vette so for 2002 they toned down the cam (or underrated it).
Any info would be greatly appreciated

No it is not true, the SS came with the same cam. However when they went to the ls6 intake on all ls1's in 01 and on they did use a toned down cam..
