I'll let you have one for $130 ported/powdercoated. Normally $150.

I'm new and want to understand how certain transactions work. Now when I'd like to get my TB ported/powdercoated, do you charge me say the $200 + $100 core and send me the ported/powdercoated one and THEN I send you my core and THEN you refund me the $100? I don't understand how exchange basis works, please explain.

You pay the $140 for the TB & shipping and $200 core charge up front. We send the new TB complete ready to run. When we receive your core TB back, we refund the $200. You don't need to swap sensors or anything else, just unbolt it and bolt the new one on.

OIC. Right on, thank you for answering my question, so is it like that with everyone? I mean the part about paying everything up front, THEN receiving the NEW part and THEN sending in the OLD part and THEN getting refunded? Or is just with your company Jantzer?

Well....1)What advantage is their over porting it in stead of buying like one from BBK?.....2)What does the powercoating do?......3)Gains in horsepower/torque-----how much?

I believe I'm the only one that sells ported and powdercoated TB's with a core charge. Others require you to send in your core and have downtime. Several companies that sell ported TB's do the core exchange this way, it's common practice.

All ported TB's are not the same. For more information on everything we do to ours, check our other post (Jantzer Performance Special Pricing $130) in the sponser section.

The stock TB is 75mm, but is actually around 70mm where it necks down just before the blade restricting flow. The stock LS1/LS6 intake can only handle a 75mm TB, the BBK is 80mm and is larger than the entrance on the LS1/LS6 intake, so it's a waste.

The powdercoating is cosmetic in that it looks great, but is also much more durable than paint so 2,5,10 years down the road it should look like it did the day you bought it.

Typical gains of a ported TB are 5-10rwhp and expect .1-.2 ET reduction in the 1/4mile.

I have caliper cores on hand, but don't carry enough to stock powdercoated or polished calipers. If I'm not too busy, I can get calipers turned around in as little as 2 days depending on options selected etc.
