Can you keep the wideband O2 in the exhaust pipe all the time or do you have to remove it when not in use?

I personally would only keep it in there for tuning, the sensors don't have a long lifespan I believe. I could be wrong...

You can leave the sensor in as long as you continue to run the LM-1 with it. If you just leave the sensor in but do not have it hooked up to anything the sensor will go bad very quickly due to the heater circuit not being used. The system comes with a bung and a plug to put in the bung when not in use. The sensor has a very long lifespan when used with the controller so that the heater circuit works correctly. It is a OEM qaulity sensor so it should last as long as any sensor. Of course the use of leaded gas shortens its life like it does with any sensor. Thanks

Do you know if it is possible to hook this up to digital guage which could be placed in the pillar to monitor O2 readings all the time, while at the same time providing the option of also using the main unit ti comes with for data logging?
