The Supersucker ram air kit was designed to pick up where the competition left off for 1998-2002 F-bodies.
The major difference between the competition and the Supersucker ram air kit is that the Supersucker actually scoops in air. It is a two piece kit, with a lower piece sliding into the upper, which attaches under the nose. This scoop is about 2 inches tall and 15 inches wide. This becomes a continuous box(scoop) all the way up to the base of the air filter.
Another major difference is the Supersucker is made of black ABS plastic. This matches the OEM appearance of the car and looks great. Since the Supersucker is plastic it won't heat soak like steel. This will help your car run cooler.
Speaking of running hot. One of our competitors has a problem with their cold air induction kits making cars run hot. If a car runs to hot it loses horsepower. To avoid this problem, beginning at the top near the air filter, the Supersucker angles away from the radiator, unlike the competition. This allows cool air to circulate through the radiator.
For those of you who want to seal off your airbox to achieve a supercharging effect, the Supersucker is designed to allow you to do this. All necessary materials are included.
Best of all the Supersucker makes power. A blower fan was placed in front of the nose of the car to simulate airstream. The airstream velocity was measured at 60mph with an anemometer at 10 feet away. On a Dynojet a stock 2002SS Camaro picked up approximately 13rwhp over stock. The Supersucker is a quick, easy way to gain horsepower.

Also:
how would you compare this to the other ram air kits you sell? (SLP & Fast Toys) each of which are considerably cheaper
do all 3 kits channel the air to the base of the air filter? or is it only the Supersucker which does this?
Thanks for your time.

all the lids will work fine
this differs (from the slp, whisper, ftra) in that it is at an angle and it curves its way ALL the way to the nose of the car.

Was the car lowered that it was tested on? The last thing any of us want is hydrolock.. It sounds like an awesome kit and logic says it works, but I live in Florida and it rains quite frequently. One good puddle and I am done.. You are probably saying then do not drive in the rain.. Rain is unpredictable in Florida.. I need some confidence coming from the seller that I will be ok before I pull out the CC.. It makes me wonder why Fast Toys and SLP never brought there scoops to the forefront..

Can the Super Sucker Ram Air kit..or the lower piece of it retro fit onto the SLP, FTRA or Whisper ram air kits? I bet you would sell a ton of lower pieces for the existing ram airs kits.

The car it was originally tested on was in Memphis last summer. It was never taken off during DOWNPOURS. Unless you are crossing rivers and the scoop actually goes in the water you will have no problem. Period. If you watch how you drive and don't take driveways and speed bumps fast you won't have a problem. Just think when you drive.

I am not saying the technology is flawed. I use to drive a Integra and I had the AEM Intake and it was in a pretty good spot. One day while driving home while it was raining the car went thru a puddle.. It is hard to tell how deep the water is when it is raining hard. I sucked in a lot of water. Luckily the damage was nothing I could not fix by trading the car in I just plan on keeping my SS.. I will investigate the product more..

arcom, the bottom of the Supersucker sits about 3 inches higher than the air dam. You can sort of tell this in the front on picture. If you were to draw a line from the bottom of the air dam to the front of the nose, the bottom of the super sucker would be about 2 inches above that. Al

mjf454, if you have a tranny cooler mounted towards the top of the radiator it won't work. If it's mounted down low it probably would.

LMPerformance, your product (SFIK/SSRA) is absolutely awesome! Is it possible for you to post the actual installation instructions somewhere? That's all that's holding me back from placing an order . . . emailed your Sales@LMPerformance.com a couple of times, but I guess that they're too busy to respond.
