Call around
you can get a forged 346-347ci to handle 650+rwhp for around $2,000-2,500
I have a forged iron block and man its been pretty expensive with my new set up. I would of ran a turbo but didnt want to spend over a certain amount and stuck with the nitrous.

Call LS1Speed, APE, Speed Eng., or FMS
all good people to deal with and see who has the best price/parts included

Will APE use Eagle stuff if the customer want's to keep the price down? I'm looking at either a forged 347 or 383, within the next two months.

My vote goes with LME. Ape is good too but more than what I had to spend, and My LME block seems to be most custom to my needs

Yep, up and running. Fired right up no issues at all. I've put about 100 miles on it so far, going to the dyno after about 500 miles or so.

Surely you should have tuned straight away so you know AFR etc is right. Congrates on the motor by the way, I wish, I wish, I wish.

Ran an autotap and it was pretty good, the tune I had wasn't too far off since I didn't change anything major except to go forged and different heads.

Im haveing a motor built by APE now, they have had it awhile but quality takes time i guess! Or either its me calling them all the time keeping them on the phone!!! In my opinion I got a very good deal, not only good price but real good parts to. You can go to their site and see all the pistons, rods and all they use in the packages. i cant comment on the motor yet becaus its not here but i have a good vibe about it.
