Got my gauge pod today, so I went ahead with the install. I drilled a hole in my stock A-pillar trim to run the wire through. It is a thick flat ribbon wire, so it takes a little but of planning to route in cleanly. I ended up running it from my OBD-II port up under the dash, then out along the inside of the fuse box...it stuffs in the crack nicely. Then up into the inside of the A-pillar housing. With the hole drilled into the A-pillar trim, I mounted the gauge pod so it would hide the hole. Worked out nice.
Here is the hole I drilled in my A-pillar trim. I have the defrost hole cut out for a shift light.
