Default Brake Package specials

We are offering 3 different brake specials for LS1 Camaro's and Firebird's:

$319.00: 4 ATE PremiumOne Rotors: http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=17&ModelID=7

$470: 4 ATE PremiumOne Rotors, 2 sets of Hawk HPS compound Brake Pads:
http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=17&ModelID=7

$640: 4 ATE PremiumOne Rotors, 2 sets of Hawk HPS compound Brake Pads, 1 set of Techna-fit DOT Stainless Steel Brake lines (NO ASR/TCS), 2 liters ATE Super Blue Fluid: http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=17&ModelID=7

$640: 4 ATE PremiumOne Rotors, 2 sets of Hawk HPS compound Brake Pads, 1 set of Techna-fit DOT Stainless Steel Brake lines (WITH ASR/TCS), 2 liters ATE Super Blue Fluid: http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=17&ModelID=7

All ATE PremiumOne Rotors are coated with MetaCote. This is a plating applied @ 572 degrees. It resists corrosion, and rust.

For those not familiar with ATE PremiumOne Rotors: These rotors are not slotted in a traditional sense. The elliptical grooves are not deep, and are actually wear indicators. When the rotor is worn down to replacement depth, the grooves disappear. This means the structure of the rotor is not harmed as is the case with most slotted and/or drilled brake rotors. Brembo's ongoing supply issues have caused us to look for alternatives. As always we want cost-effective, but most importantly a quality rotor. We feel we have found that with the ATE PremiumOne Rotors.

4 rotors with shipping to that zip code would be $360 total. Let me know I quoted you when/if you order online or on the phone. Price quote only good for the rotors, adding pads will change it slightly.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Hey Sam,

Just wondering if you could shed some light for me as to why the rotors for the Vette system are cheaper than the f-body ones (not just the ones you provide but also other sets). It is just something I have noticed when trying to decide what route I want to take for my front brakes and may influence my decision.

Thanks,
Jason

Sam, was going to order some slotted brembos and hawk pads from you, but I see their still on back order. How do they compare to the brembos?

No, I can't. They just always are. Maybe because they are produced in larger quantities? Really, not any clue as to why the bigger one is less expensive.

$45.00 When you place the order (on the web, or by phone, just mention I quoted this price). And remember, the rotors are about 80 pounds for all 4, not cheap to ship those.

I have no pics. There are pics of the rotors on my website, but none on cars. They are just pretty much very shallow slots, not unlike any other rotor.

As for the Brembo's, their status, and how these compare:

-Brembo's continue to be on a Nationwide backorder and we are not getting any good information as to when we'll see more. It's been quite a while, and I don't know when that backorder will end.

-ATE is not a fly-by-night company. They are the the ones who make ATE SuperBlue fluid, and most brake and hydraulic systems on German cars like BMW, Mercedes and Porsche.

-The ATE rotors are coated with the Metacote, the Brembo's are not.

-The ATE "slots" are not deep, they actually disappear when the rotor gets to minimum service thickness. This helps make a tougher rotor than the rotors are CNC'ed to have slots as they are not as deep.

Haha I was kinda figuring it might be something like that possibly. Thanks Sam and hopefully I will be placing an order with you for something soon whether it be brakes or some suspension stuff.
