It's all in good fun man. I wasn't pokin' fun at your car. I was just speaking generally that a 4V 281 can hang with a 346/350. Tis all? (before anyone get's butthurt, I'm not saying machs are faster...just said hang with)

so i'll stick with my 5k NA car and ill break that number to pieces in time
See my first response. (4V Mach vs. LS is a driver's race).

Oh and BS on a 4.6L hitting 450 rwhp N/A. Ain't happenin'.

Are you talking a 4.6L (as in size) or a 4v modular (as in the motor)?

There are 4v modulars running in the 9's N/A.

I thought it would not rev past 5000? Did you get the problem ironed out yet?

My issue is the RPMs hang around 1,200rpms @ part throttle and when I come to a stop they will drop to idle but sometimes it will stall. The car revs fine all the way to 7500rpms. (haven't taken it past that)

Oh i misunderstood over there. Did you figure it out? There is a website down here http://www.southfloridastangs.net/sfsforum/index.php, Go to the tuner section and post the problem. There is an awsome tuner that posts all the time named Scott Beer, he is the best. He is a great guy he will help you iron it out.

It just needs a retune.

But first I'm going to up the boost some. I'd like 700rwhp on pump gas.

Thats where I want to be when I forge the shortblock. Try to get 18psi out of that D1.

that's really pushing it. Still a 281? I think that's going to take 20 psi.

I plan on running more boost than that.

Then I'm hitting it with the nitrous.

That's a whole lot of boost for pump gas.

Guy down at the shop is at 675 on 18 PSI with a D1SC. He has a 302 stroker mod block though. It is 733 on 116 with the race gas tune.

^^ Hey don't interrupt us. The OP hasn't posted in a while plus he's a Mustang guy sure he won't mind.

I imagine that the D1SC is all used up. Else I would expect more from a race gas tune. Pretty cool stuff. Still 733 is nothing to sneer at. I really love how fast cars are getting these days. In the 80s, if you had a 10 or even 11 second street car, you were THE MAN. Now, you're just pretty quick. Being the man now in just about any area means at least an 8 second car. For a street car, that was just about unheard of back then.

for sure just pokin fun man! there are def some nice mustangs i just like to give all the mustang guys in general a hard time

but hey its friday everyone up and don't drive your nice cars! taxi!

haha

and yea about the 4.6L hitting 450 i am almost 100% positive it hit over 400rwhp with a 4.6 but it had some insane duration/lift cams and had been worked over by a shop that only does the modular 4.6L's ohh and i think it revv'd to like 8500rpms or some crazy high number.

keeping the displacement at 281 and not going to 302ci it has hit 400rwhp already but 450rwhp is possible but most likely high compression, huge cams, and a lot of money.
