Raced a vortech s/ charged 98 Cobra w/ Nittos...
We pulled onto a frontage road that has a nice straight and went from a dig- 1st race I missed 3rd and got my *** kicked, 2nd race stayed door to door w/ him and started to pull ahead towards the end (100 mph maybe?) I wonder how it feels to not beat up on a lightly modded Z when you have dumped a boatload of cash into your shitbox mustang... Come on stang guys, bring on the "he couldn't drive"'s and the "this or that must have happened" comments- If I were that guy i would put a brick on the accellerator of that piece of **** and send it into a lake just to see the splash and then I would hang myself from a tree out of embarrassment (with my now shrunken bank account fresh in my mind.)

Have you got any idea what my 60' time is (2.232)? my problem is traction, not speed, as you can probably tell by my MPH, right, doc? I think that maybe I just happened to hook the car up.

Nice Kill. My friend has a 98 cobra, I used to think it fast, until i went out and drove a TA WS6
Now I am buying one. Well nice kill. If you get some better tires I bet you will run probably in the mid to low 12's if you can hook up.

I got a buddy w/ a 97. I set up a race between him and my buddy that has a 98 SS. they went from prolly a 50 flick. He gave the cobra the move, No one moved an inch until they both hit 3rd, then the SS walked away. But if u pulled away from a boosted Cobra then props to you my friend

Must have been the 6psi pulley.
Sounds about right. A bone stock 98 cobra with a 6psi vortech should run around 110-112mph in the 1/4.
$14,000 for the cobra, $3500 for the blower kit.
$17,500 total. Not too bad if you ask me.
I'm not going to come up with the "well he must not be able to drive" excuse. That seems to be yours, considering you "missed 3rd, and got your *** kicked".

Let the guy have his fun, its his post.
We don't need another debate here
I thought Vortech kits for a 98Cobra were over 8lbs (S-Trim)
