Default Took down a C55 AMG

So it's been quite some time since i've gotten into a nice race...mainly since i just got off from a reckless ticket. I've been driving carefully and have turned down a few races against "unworthy" opponents haha! But yesterday on my way to work, i just happened to line up with a nice Benz at a light. It was a C55 AMG, dark silver with a custom exhaust (maybe more mods i dont know). But anyways, the light turned green and i didn't really know about racing, and i wasn't going to initiate the race so we just kinda drove off across the intersection and drove at normal speeds. Then up ahead the next light turned red and i saw the benz gun it before he started to break for the light...so i figured he was the type who would race. Anyways, we sat at the light just staring ahead waiting and then the light turned green. We accelerated at normal speeds across the intersection and then i gave it juuust a little bit of gas to see how he would react and the guy driving the benz floored it and got a bit of a jump on me. I was waiting for him to do that, so i quickly nailed the gas and caught right up to him. I stayed about half a car's length ahead of him and then started to pull even more up top pretty good, but then i shut it down since we were coming up fast on traffic. We ended with the nose of his car at around my rear tire. Definitely a good race, and those things sure are quick. I checked them out online. They are rated at 362hp / 376tq stock with the 5.5L V8 in them. We gave each other thumbs up and parted ways. Fun race!

good run man....lucky it wasn't a CL55 AMG cause those things can really move out...supercharged V8 of some caliber, I can't remember how big it is right now but they run low-mid 12s at 114-116 haha..

yea AMG decided to go all NA now when all other car companies are starting to boost everything, those 6.3L's have something like 500 hp and thats all gas no boost or nothing, i'd say its impressive if you ask me because even the C6Z06 is 500 hp but its a 7.0L!

Haha thanks guys! Yeah the European car companies are very good at squeezing high horsepower numbers out of smaller engines. I would love to run a 6.3L just for the fun of it, even though i would get my doors blown off.

The new 63's respond very well to basic mods, especially the C class, which MB has handicapped a bit from the factory. Vid below is of a new C63 with full exhaust and a re-tune...

That's a nice kill. The NGKs - do they help vs. stock plugs much?

Haha, not too sure about that either...but i can tell you they are way better than the pre-gapped Bosch Platinum2 plugs. Thats what i had in the car, but they really sucked and i replaced them with the NGK's...runs MUCH better.

I ran a CL63 AMG a while back...Looked good but did not expect it to move out like he did. Then saw they have 518 hp stock.
