BMW 335i Comparison
Had an opportunity to run against my friend’s 335i last weekend. From a roll going to 80mph on an empty runway, I was able to pull 1 car length ahead of him. And from a dig we were pretty much even due to traction issues in first gear for me. Both cars are pretty much stock. His BMW is a M6 with 12,000 miles, and my 2002 Z28 M6 has the corsa exhaust and SLP lid as modifications.
The 335i are really nice cars, when he had the chip installed to increase the boost pressure, we run a 4.5 second to 60mph.

Nice kill. I agree about them being very nice cars. I love the coupes in that dark blue color they come in. Watch out because they respond well to mods and are breaking into the 11's on the stock turbos.

Good info. There are two new things coming out for the 335 soon:
1) Meth Injection kits to work with the Vishnu Procede Tune (Being produced by vishnu). Should be out in 3 months. They are able to make the same power on 91 octane and the meth kit as they did on MS109 race gas.
2) Bolt on Turbo (not a single) kit. Not sure what all it includes but you definitley need to buy their monster intercooler and custom fuel system. They already have the turbos on their test car, and are almost done with the intercooler. Rumor has it they are working with vishnu on a tuning map for their kit, Vishnu people flew out from LA to Miami yesterday to go take a hands on look. (Being produced by ASR Engineering). My guess is a kit will be out by this fall. According to them they hope to see 500WHP!!
Both of these adds show some big potential.
What is out there right now for bolt-ons is getting people over 400whp on 93 octane. The bolt-ons to do that include:
Tune $700-1000
Catless Downpipes $700
Upgraded intercooler $950
Catback exhaust that eliminates the second set of cats $1000-$1500
Dual Cone or other upgraded intake $200
Not bad to put on 130 WHP for a little over $4k. 80 whp of that can be had with just the tune for $1k or less.

Below was my friends blue 335 with full bolt ons that was totalled in November, and my Silver 335 with just a tune and intake.

I'm going to a College Park tuning meet in a couple of weeks and cannot wait to talk to some of the G8 owners about what they have done.

As long as you have snow tires for winter it handles alot better than you'd ever expect a 300rwhp car to...
If that meet was on the north side of Baltimore I'd make an attempt to go...looks aight.
Tune wakes these cars up alot, not quite as much as a 335 (obviously since there's no boost to tune for), but most are picking up 20-30, I picked up close to 40.
