barely beat a trans am.
I would say you could do it for $15000 total. Motor is around 6000 for the longblock. It is strong and you wouldn't have to upgrade anything. Just bolt on the whipple and your set. You might need to upgrade to a Mach or Cobra computer I'm not sure. You will be in for at least $10000 on your 2v and be limited by those heads. And the aluminator has a 3 year warranty.
thats a lot of money for that setup. i think i will stick with getting a forged kit for my motor for now and going with a different s/c than i want for right now. either way i go all these TAs and Camaros in my area are all going to start getting beat by me before long.

Forged internals for the parts are cheaper....but you'll pay more in labor for rebuild, etc.
You're talking ~$6-8k all said and done.
you don't know what your talking about. there are many full bolt on gt's in the 12's...my buddy who has an ss had an 00 gt that wasn't full bolt on and he ran 8.4 in the eighth...which is at right about a 13.0...
and i know of 2 other guys runnin mid/high twelves
and in fact, there is a member on here with an ls1 and a 2valve...and he has a 2v with NOWHERE near full bolt on's and ran 12.9...in fact his member name is 2v in the twelves

stop back tracking and stick to what you said.
listen to this comment from a guy on one of my local forums. he stated that he has a bone stock z28 camaro. told me that he would give me a 2 car length advantage as well as the jump and before the 1/4 was over he would put 4 cars on me
.
. 2v in the twelves has tune, cai, flowmaster with a 4.10 and some drag radials and he ran 12.9 at almost 107
still leaves longtubes, pullies, throttle body, plenum, driveshaft, etc.
what does manual and nitrous have to do with anything...of course no nitrous...and yes a manual.

he also had lakewood struts and 1 or 2 other cheap suspension mods...but i would say a twelve is completely possible as the 60' ft for his run was 1.8...and i have a friend cuttin 1.8's without those mods...plus i cut a 1.9 on street tires. i know for sure drag radials would take me down a tenth
. i could be remembering wrong but i believe my best 60' was like a 1.60 or something like that. i will check my slips when i get home. when i ran the 13.2 i had a perfect reaction time of 0.00 but can remember exactly what the 60' was. it was a 1. something.
Get that thing tuned and DR's I bet you'll see 12.8s.
Gotta be wearie of TOOO good of a deal though. Cheap forged internals or slapped together = more $$$$ down the road. Somethings you just can't short pay on. Believe me.
Good reaction time is nice, but just remember, that does nothing for your ET or 60'.
