Default Got my first kill in the GT500: Charger RT

Well my brother in law (ricer arrogant kinda guy I cant stand) had ridden in my car about 2 weeks ago and knows it from around the area. I had a mock interview for school Tuesday night and got out early. About 2 miles before my exit I see my brother in law in his R/T Charger coming flying up on me. He thinks that an AWD Magnum can get sideways from stomping it on a roll with just a tuner.... so you can figure he thinks his car is god... anyways, he is trying to do a ricer fly by on me, and I anticipate it. I am doing around 70 and he gets right up to me and starts pulling on me I can hear his exhaust being full throttle so I figure what the hell, and drop 3rd. Suddenly all I hear is my Eaton cramming some air into my engine. At this point he has a fender on me, then suddenly it was like he hit his brakes and I started to pull hard on him. Pulled up to 130 and ended up a car and a half on him. Thought it was funny as hell he said he was close to 90 when he got up to my door too!

Chargers are AWD? It took you to 130mph to put 1 1/2 cars on him and that seemed like he hit the brakes? ok... good kill i guess. If i owned a GT500 and only put two on a AWD?? CHARGER?? I'd be pissed!

He was already in it when I down shifted and was ahead of me, he was already at 100 by the time I hit it from 70.... and the R/T isn't AWD either, at least his isn't

I watched a GT 500 run last light at our track (2000' elevation and hot). Of course he didn't hook up but I was impressed when he busted off a 12.7 at 120+ mph. His still had the paper plates on it. The exhaust was really loud, are they that loud stock? The stock LS1 camaro's were running 14-14.4 around 100mph

No mine was dead quiet so my first mod was to go to the bassani race axle-backs, I took my car to the track (but being as I'm 20 and really dont have enough experience to drive the damn thing) the best I could hit was 14.15 at 109 (my dad's hawk traps 111ish at 11.7) I actually had a 2.3 60' first run which was a 14.20, dropped my 60' on the second run to a 2.1 and but only dropped .05 in the 1/4, I was spinning through 3rd... once I get my new set of wheels I will throw some M/T's on the old ones for some fun every now and then at TnT

Nice kill dude those GT500's are tough to get down the quarter stock. Doesn't matter how much HP your making if you can't get it to the ground.

They just installed concrete out the 1/8th mile this year. It has only been open since the beginning of may. They spent a lot of money updating the place, but sadly no one shows up so it may not stay open long. It is very very slick as I almost totaled my car shifting into 3rd.

Its Blue with white stripes, and thats my next step, 3.73's, Metco pulley, and a tune, if I can scrape up enough cash I will get the long tubes and OR-X pipe. The only thing after that is wheels for the street, and mounting some M/T's on the spare rims!

I love every second of it. It is a heavy car and you can feel it but I don't think I've ever had more "fun" driving a car I.E. people yelling at me across lanes of traffic giving me thumbs up and whatnot, hate to say it, but I really never had that reaction in the hawk. On the street... she rides like a baby, and gets 29-31mpg highway!
