Talking Ran a procharged 09 GT Mustang

I was bored tonight so I decided to go on a little cruise to do some datalogging with hptuners. Now where I am from LS1's are pretty much unheard of and I have only raced 2 cars in the last year I have owned my car, both mustangs. So I see this newer gt mustang in front of me at the light so I throw him a rev. He wont even look at me but throws a rev back, which I could barely hear. I follow him onto the freeway and he gets on it but decides to speed off, ok whatever I guess he didn't want to run em

There is major road construction on the freeway so I decide to get off at the next exit. As I am sitting at the next light a newer red mustang goes by me and throws a rev. I hear a wwwwhhhh chi chi chi chi chi (blow off noise). I instantly get excited because I never run into quick cars here. So I pull out and slowly catch up to him. I pull up next to him and tell him to roll his window (pointing) and he does. I asked him if that thing is procharged because it sounds mean, yup it is. Now we were not really in the best area for a race but there were no cars around and there was bridge up ahead so it looked safe. **** I never get to race anything so I wanna go.

I thought for sure this will be fun, should get my *** kicked but who cares. I tell him lets run em and we are cruising about 35mph so I drop her down into 1st and look over at him. We both hammer it and I instantly put 2 cars on him. I hook great and 6500rpm flashes before I know it, bang 2nd and I spin pretty good through second but stay in it. I'm at the top of 2nd and I have a good 2 1/2 - 3 cars on him, bang 3rd gear and wind her out to about 90mph with a good 3 to 4 car lead. I slam on my brakes to slow down and he stays in it flying by at around 100mph.

I follow him to the light and he keeps romping on it and spinning out. I could either smell tires or clutch behind him I try to catch up to him but he is speeding away. So I pull up to him at the light and say hey that thing sounds awesome pull into to the next lot. Cool guy we bs'd but he had to go. Anyways its an 09 Mustang GT that he just put the kit on and had it dyno tuned. I got a little vid of his car and picture. Its a P1SC blower and he said it put down over 600ftlbs at the rear wheels also 450whp. Said only has 1000 miles on it also has magnaflow mufflers, sounds real good.

I could tell when he was trying to speed away he was pissed. He asked me if my car was supercharged lol. He said I took off like a mother f#$@er lol. I just told him I have corvette heads, intake and a little cam. He mentioned something about 600ftlbs or torque is hard to put to the ground. He was very surprised and thought my air lid was a super charger haha. I wanted to go run again on the highway but he was in a hurry to get home.

so what were you driving, and what were your mods.

and he lied his *** of about his tq. i have watched at least 10 procharged 3v's on the dyno and only 2 made more tq than hp, and one was running a d1 instead of p1. on avg they make about 20-30 ft/lbs less tq than hp on a 3v. the 2 that did make more only made like 10-15 ft/lbs more not 150! lol

good kill tho btw

Good kill. I agree with these guys. I'd think 450 rwhp and 400-420 rwtq.

So many people throw a s/c on without upgrading anything else and have no clue how to put the power to the ground or for that matter, even how to drive the thing. What you were smelling were probably his little 235/55 tires trying to harness 400+whp/tq lol.

Lmao, I couldn't imagine ridding on tires that skinny... 315 BFG DRs have horrible enough traction on 600 hp so..

There is no way I believed him about the 600 torque. I can call the dyno shop and check though because its the same place I had my car dynoed. The guy only had a 1000 miles on the car so I am sure he needs the driver mod. I would like to run him again sometime though. He was a cool guy but I could tell he lacked the performance car knowledge. I asked him what supercharger he had on the car and he said he didnt know, it was just the kit for the 09 mustang. I looked at it and it was the P1SC.

The blow off valve on those things make so damn much noise. After he reved it up it made that whooo cah cha cha noise for around 3 seconds. Oh my car is a 2000 Camaro SS M6, click the dyno link in my signature for the mods. I have since swapped injectors and have been dialing in the tune, but my cutout was closed as it is a manual one.

I messaged the dyno shop owner and he said it put down 440hp and 410 tq. The guy probably thinks it's making 600 at the engine.

Nice kill on the complete fuggin tool. Those are the type of Mustang owners that do give us a bad name. Who has there car built like that and doesn't know tq or hp figures or doesn't even know what blower it is. Look at my tq and hp #s in my sig and I have a higher compression 4V with a D1. Freakin idiot, his driving is on par with his knowledge of his own car.

Yup look at the green line at the top that is mph. As you can see I spun up to around 70mph when I banged 2nd gear though. I have stock 3.42 gears on 275/40/17 Nexen street tires. They hook awesome on the street (sometimes) but suck at the track. My car goes 53mph in 1st gear @ 6500rpm.

Hell yea! The only way to do it!

I use to do the same thing in my 01 SS (religiously). With the stock 3.42s and some RPM, first can wind out to 58+mph. Works really well
