H/C LS1 vs. H/C LT1 I took the car out last night and pulled into the gas station, I see a few guys I know and they say "a badass car is coming back here you should see it" so I wait around a little bit, it's a nice lookin lowered LS1 SS clone. The guy pops the hood.. The car has ls6 heads, semi mild cam, full exhaust/intake.
We decided to take the cars out and run a couple times.. We went from a 45mph roll and honked it off, I get the jump from the git go and just kept pulling and pulling so I let off at 110ish with a bus length+ on him. We turn around go again about the same mph I honk it off again and I jump up on him about a car length, I gained about half a car shifting to third. I keep creeping away and ended up about 2 cars up by 105ish..
We decided to take the cars out and run a couple times.. Had it dynotuned but i had an exhaust that had literally a 1.5 inch pipe over the axle (a quick fix so i could get it to the the dyno to get it running right after the h/c install). So needless to say after i got it tuned and took that exhaust off about a month later, it was/is a whole new beast. It put down 375 with that pathetic exhaust, haven't been back since but I think it should be at about 400rwhp now (similar setups with this heads/cam and m6 usually put down lil over 400)
