oh and another thing, everyone keeps saying it had mechanical issues and blah. well i asked a friend last night where the finish line was, and we had ran way past it before his pipe came off. so the first race was ***** out, no issues or excuses. i just got a good launch and stayed out front. its funny cause some of you are giving the shelby excuses when he was cool about it and didnt have anything negative to say but good run. i gained some respect that night.

I couldn't agree more. Low 11s and high 10s are the norm today. Single digit street cars are everywhere lately it seems. If you are not trapping 135+, don't even bother betting. Chances are you will lose.

What single digit car did you beat? All I gained from this thread is that you beat a shelby that spun 1320ft.

who said he spun 1320 feet? we both spun. he was gaining on me but i was too far ahead for him to catch up.

glad i started this thread. to read the ignorance and excuses made bout me racing this car. its funny, cause he said nothing afterwards but good run. too bad not everyone can be like that.

Im sorry that you dont comprehend that a 400rwhp camaro is nowhere near the performance of a 850rwhp Shelby given both cars are hooking and ones not spinning the whole race.

and we BOTH spun a good ways. mine just tears out faster than his. i dont have to wait on turbos to spool up.

neither does he. you should look into how a compound boost set up works. the blower spools the turbos in a hurry. i have seen them go from 10 lbs of boost to 36 lbs of boost in about 1 split second. thats actauly the down side to the compound set up. the power comes on so fast it makes it almost impossible to hook.
heres an idea of how fast the turbos come on. just about instantly from when the throttle was planted.

i'm not downing the car any. i love that car. its bad *** for sure. we had a fun run, now its over. if there's a rematch, like i say, i may not be as lucky next time. he may not give me the length and a hit this time. may run heads up. but i'd rather be on the kit for heads up.

Dude obviously it is not a single digit car if your cam only camaro outran it, more like a 12 second car at best.

So if me and john force line up on the street and he doesnt get his car to hook does that mean my car is a 4 second car? Use some common sense, you probably both spun but im sure he spun the whole time compaired to you spinning a little.
