Z28 Vs STI during the local cruise we had earlier this month while i was parked in a lot with some friends, (most of them with slower ricers) we met a guy with a stock STI, my buddys went with him for a ride to see how the car handles and what not, well they came back all saying i needed to run him, because of the all wheel drive and the take offs of the STI they thought it would be a very good run, they thought he would win without much of a doubt, so long story short, i got a bud to pay me $10 to run him, "gimme $10 and ill run em for you" haha
we take em out (while all the cops are busy in town with the cruise) we had to go from a 20 roll, seeing how i have 1 bald in the back and one random tire on other side of the back, i wasnt about to go from a dig, first run was a joke, we both messed up, second we took off, his bumber was just inchs ahead of mine at the very beginning of the take off, after just a short second or so i jumped out, then towards top end i completely just left him, good run though i thought!
so not only in the end was it fun, but i also got $10 in gas money

this is what i have on my car at the moment, horrible i know, but the guy that had the car before me put them on there, i kinna want to find him and just slap him haha, they are 18's
, and they dont even look appealing to me.. lol

NICE run. my friend has an 2005 STI with exhaust, CAI, fully gutted interior (he thinks hes some rally car driver...?) we went from a 30 mph roll which really wasnt on a straight road. he picked it... had a slight curve to it for part of the race. which unfortunately for me we would hit every time I would shift into 2 gear which would cause my rear end to kind of jump sideways.
but back to the point once I got traction put couple of lengths on him. he was brake boosting me of course but if he hadnt I would of put a bus on him. thats how the stock turbo imports compete or they get finished...

I took my 05 STi to the track tonight. Ran it 3 times against a Skyline in the 400hp AWD class. I think the mods to the car are stock motor, speakers removed/radio/spare, some -38lb wheels with stock size tires. I launched it as hard as I could and the best I could get was a 13.41, not sure about the MPH.
I haven't had anyother car to the track yet though. Hoping to take my new blue/white stripe GTS ACR with a 600hp SRT-10 motor swap.
