my c6z with same mods trapped and ported heads trapped 138 1st time out at the track should go 140 with more seat time.... buddies with cam only went 137 mph that means to put 4 cars on a cammed z you would have to trap around 145 ATLEAST!!!! I have seen whippled cobras and turbo cobras go down...... making 700 rwhp against cammed c6z..... I dunno just my .02 need a vid...
Keep in mind that we were 1000 feet high in hawaiian weather but I hit 120 mph and he hit 123 mph...
He gained 65 rwhp with the cam and other slight mods but seemed to only gain around 4 mph in the 1/4 mile over stock...
So at an optimum track with a great driver lets say his car would go from 127 mph to 131 mph.....
How your friend got 137 mph with "cam only" is quite baffling.....Is it every bolt on imaginable plus cam?????? I mean thats a 10 PLUS mph gain over stock...

hard time.... I do not think a few of these pple realize how fast a cammed bolt on c6z is..... I do considering I have had camaros cobras and c6z its a different playing field from a mach 1 to a modded c6z..... gearing and weight alone is huge I have seen 100 hp more cars get beat by a c6z... It is very hard to keep up with modded c6zs from a roll in matter in fact I havent seen anyone do it with my own two eyes.... I also enjoy stirrin **** up a bit

maybe thats why he said baffling...because that cam only car is trapping higher than your head/cam car
although i'm sure it being the first time out had a bit to do with it...sounds sick as well

Because I know what it takes to beat a Fullbolt on cammed C6Z06. All I asked for was proof. The only proof he gave us was him out running a stock Z06 with a bad driver!!

A cammed C6Z06 is a fast car, but it's not going to beat any modern V8 car with a forged engine and FI.
You can only make so much power NA. That power can easily be eclipsed with FI and a forged engine.
There are many cars on this website that would walk the cammed C6Z06 and that mustang is one of them.

This is why I was calling B.S. on this guy from the begining!! Like I said before. My car will trap 132mph in the 1/4 with 100 shot of spray and my cousins C6Z06 full bolton, cammed vette will walk me pretty good after 100mph! So again, This guy has been making some outragous claims. Next he's going to be racing a modded ZR1 vette and he will probably put 8 or so cars on it. BTW. For you Ford guys!! I raced a twin turboed Dodge viper in my Ford F350 and smoked it by 10 or so cars.. I never realized that just installing a bullydog programmer on these trucks would wake it up so much!! Let the feast begin!!

Unit, he said his car traps 106mph in the 1/8th a FI car will normally pick 26-30mph from the 1/8-1/4 so that would make his MPH to around 136mph. That is not enough to beat the car in question by 4-5 cars. Thats all I am saying. The fact that his car is a beast isn't the question here!! But he was bragging that he beat a Full bolton cammed C6Z06 vette ( which will trap between 130 to 138mph)by 4-5 cars!! He also said he couldn't run his car at 750hp setting because it was way to fat!! The story just doesn't add up and I think he is exaggerating a little thats all. Like I said before. Enough people have stepped up and vouch for the guy so I believe his car is a beast. Lets just say for arguement sake that the Z06 driver was horrible!!
