Default Another C6 Z06 goes down

Went out to the local GTG and a modded C6Z06 wanted to run me. Don't really know all the mods but the people up there said he had full exhaust, tune and a cam. I'm not 100% sure on that though. Anyways we started off around 60mph and ran to about 145mph with me putting about 4-5 cars on him but the top of 4th. Real cool guy and his passenger got all on video but I don't have it. Sorry. I think next week I'm racing a modded 09 ZR1 Vette, that should be a bad *** race.

Let me be the first to call.

Just kidding. Good kill man, maybe the ZR1 will put up a fight.

dayum..That z06 should be 520 rwhp and weigh less than 3200 pounds...car should be capable of 130 mph trapps..

Jeeze...Wonder what it's gonna take for someone to finally get to the top of Ole Smokey

With as much HP it's putting out, it's going to take a stout one.

That is why I always wanted a Mach over a Cobra. The Mach already has the single rear end, and has the DOHC 4v. You can then pick your own boost. Plus the shaker scoop looks **** y0.

I think there was a 15-10k difference in price.

Did the Mach1 have forged interntals? If not, that's the only thing that would make me get a cobra over a Mach. Cheaper to put a live rear axel on a Cobra than it is to put forged parts into a Mach. I love the looks of Mach1s too. I don't see them as much as I do termis. I like the Mach1's looks better too. I just dislike the wheels they came with.

Running low to mid 13s stock is pretty neat for a N/A Mustang.

Forged crank only. Weak link in the cobra isnt the rear end, it's the pistons and cooling system more specifically for the heads.

Yep exactly, but the auto mach's dont even have a forged crank. I wish I would of had the money to forge and blow my mach!!

are your referring to the 03,04 cobra? If so those are also DOHC 4v motors... but with a stronger rotating assembly. And its a solid rear, not single.

The rear end is just one of the wink links.

Right... I looked back, and I don't see where you got I meant otherwise?

I've heard both used. *shrug* single meaning no dual suspension.

By saying that i thought u implied the cobra did not have a 4v. Apologies.

The retail price difference between a Mach 1 and a Terminator was about $5500. I had both on order, at the same time back in '02 LOL! The Mach won, so to speak.

LMFAO he know how to drive. Sounds like he just got drug by a car that makes more power to me. So what makes you think that it was a driver problem as to why the car got 4-5 lengths put on it. I saw the vid from the inside view of the Zoh and it was just a steady pull the whole time. You could put John Force in that car and it wouldn't have mattered any. lol

I thought it was more than that .Oh well.. yeah I want a blacked out Mach1..

I wont get one though. I'll keep my 02 GT till I can find used new 5.0s for sale in a few years. I am going to put some sort of boost in this 2v first.

And yeah... no matter how well that Z06 driver was, he wasn't going to win.

cool deal. Oh yeah there is also a procharged C6 Zoh coming out to play next week also. I might throw some 104 in the tank and turn the boost up a few pounds.
