im def getting something bigger then a 600 next time, its fun in the curves but i find my self always having to wind it out, when i rode a cbr 1000 having the torque made it so easy to start out comparitively

I for one, ride a lot harder than people around me, and I still haven't maxed out my R6. I get passed all the time on track days and such by people on similar power level 600s.

+1 - you must be an amazing rider. I have been passed in the twisties by a rider on a 250 ninja at one trackday, and although I am far from a pro I have been to 6 and am very comfortable on my bike so I wouldn't call myself a bad rider. I would say I barely can ride my bike to 75% of its potential on a race track, and I have been riding all sorts of motorcycles for 12 years.

If you look at pro racing, the first place 600 is typically a similar time to the 3rd place liter bike. The current lap record on Isle Of Man TT for the Junior TT(600s) is only 3 mph slower then Superstock TT(1000s) .

The difference in a straight line is dramatic, but the difference on an actual race course like they are made for is not as pronounced as many people think. Crotch rockets are 99% rider.

I think its in my sig. 423/382. I trapped 118 on Friday in 1800 DA. Short shifted at 5500 rpm on the Tach in first (maybe 6300 real?) and at about 5800 in second (maybe 6200 real), then took third out to 6500 on the tach. I need a shift light so I can wrap out 7k like this cam wants.
