So I killed a 600 last night.
Leaving a car show, my buddy was on his bike, me in my car, and we were rolling down a freeway. We are doing about 65, line up, both of us downshift to 3rd, and I honk it off. We only run through one gear, and I put (his words) about 2 cars on him, 65-90 mph. We ran a few times with similar results. Pretty fun, and I can finally say I took down a 600. But...His bike is a...
Bandit 600 He will see this soon enough and can chime in with his times, mods, and how slow that bike is.

Lol, find a v-twin cruiser and you can say you beat a 1000! .
They are not bad bikes, still I4's so you can wind them up to make a bit of power. Bandits are what, around 75hp? Not bad for a communter, and a heck of a lot more peppy then a small gutless low-rpm v-twin.
If it wasn't a suzuki and I needed to get around locally I'd rock one to scoot around on .

Yea, he gets killer gas mileage with it for sure. He just needs to step it up to a liter bike so he can beat most of our friends. Still wont hang with some of the big boys though lol.

I think that BMW look sick from what I remember seeing on AZSS. But yea, Bronko's is a GSXR 1000. I am sure he will let it go for a decent price.
EDIT: Never mind, those lights are fugly.

65 rolls sucks for a supersport, let alone an upright dual sport! A supersport 600 would have closed those 2 cars pretty quickly .
That z1000 is amazing, I'm glad its back in the states now.
Close to literbike handling and performance, but a more comfortable riding position then the zx race versions. It is really starting to grow on me. Not much to complain about - it has a bit more horsepower then the race oriented high revving zx6, but at a much lower rpms and a full TWO TIMES the torque so you don't have to wring its neck to go anywhere.
The new beemer superbike is amazing, but is expensive and still fairly untested. I would wait and see how they hold up to real world use. In person it also seems way bigger then the other 1000s, of which the zx10 is def my favorite.
Your train of thought is going the right way with the Kawi's though .

I have a hard time deciding between the Z1000 and the ZX10, i love racing and the ZX10 is a monster, but the Z1000 would be more fun to DD and screw around on... decisions decisions..
kyle, sorry for the thread hijack

the beemer books for a little over 13 basic, around 15 with a factory quickshifter and ABS/TC.. My bandit is considered a "sport touring" because its the S model, with the fairing. the regular bandit is considered a standard.

i ride my bike at least 5 days a week, if not 7... i like the looks and comfort more on the Z than the ZX, but the ZX would perform better.. ill wait to see some 1/4 mile times on the new Z before i make my decision.

Yea, rain isn't too bad around these parts, minus the tornado and that crazy storm we had last week or whenever it was I need to learn how to ride
