#21
im not a big honda fan but i have seen enough turbo hondas to know that it could easly pull a 2000 or so gt without much boost i have seen it time and time before this race is no different than all the other ones i have seen race.

When we were both stock, my buddy Alex could pull me a little bit. His Talon I think ran 9psi stock, and I'm sure was lighter. Unless he was lying that he was stock.... But now he runs whereabouts of 22psi, so I think my soon to be H/C/I car should be a good race.

A boosted GSR better pull a stock or slightly modded 2v new edge. Its not hard with a turbo to make a honda, let alone with a decent motor like the b18c1, run pretty decent. Hell my buddies N/A hatch ran a 14.2 at 100 at SIR (typically high DA's....best DA anytime I ran there was 5700). Then again, that hatch is a K20A with intake exhaust and tune.

Street tires, EG hatch, full weight. In perspective, my car with lid/maf/cutout on street tires ran a 14.1 (2.3 60'..first time at the track) at 102 in 5700 DA. I raced him once back home on the street...2nd gear pull, me by myself, him with 2 180+ lbs friends in the car. Through 2nd gear, he pulled a car or more on me, but with the short gearing, shifted to third while I was still in 2nd...I caught up, hit third, and started to pull away, and when he went to 4th, just fell back.

Just to update things its a 96 ls non-vtech, so I don't know if the kid in the mustang just didn't know how to drive or what. I couldn't believe it myself. I will be hitting the track this spring and I have a buddy with a 2000 gt so we will see exactly what happens.

Yep very believable that he pulled on the mustang. Plus look at the weight differences.

Not to mention, it seems some (one in particular) are forgetting that we are talking a WHOLE 30mph 'sprint' here. I mean seriously..35-65 mph and had a fender? WOO HOO.

integras come With B18 motors (1.8 liter 4 banger)
There are trim levels.
LS= No VTEC but lowest compression
GSR= Yes VTEC more compression
Type R= YES VTEC and a lot more compression and almost 10k redline stock.
A basic LS is easiest to boost since tuners dont have to tune for VTEC+ boost as well as having the lowest compression which gives it the ablility to take more boost.
