How about we just wait for the OP to post again or start a new thread about the results of the race, this thread has turned into a shitshow of ricers trying to stick up for their cars.
Bolt ons on the Z06 should make a huge difference. The stock airbox alone is relatively restrictive and should free up around 10WHP.

Stock for stock that is and I was more concerned about which radio station to listen to
But the same Z gets smacked like a mo' by Poopra. Import>>Domestic>>Import>>Domestic>>Circular reference of who cares?
Good runs to the OP. Ive seen some 700awhp evo's and they are nothing to laugh or sneeze at. unless you play in the >160mph sphere.

a lb of boost at sea level is the same as a lb of boost on the top of a mountain.
only different is that you might have less oxygen as you climb to higher elevations, which then would effect performance.

Yea...STI's and EVO's can be no loke..Sure out of 100 of them 70 are gonna be stockish ( few bolt ons 230-300 awhp) 101-106 mph cars, and from a roll a Fbody will take them...
Then your gonna have 15 of them with the bolt on tune and cams ect...in the 300-400 awhp range trapping 109-114 mph
Then another 12 of them with bolt ons, cams ,tune and more efficient turbos for 400-500 awhp Now your talking 119-124mph trapps..
But then their are still the remaining 3...And I have seen them before....I was in my 91 nsx and my buddy in his 2005 nsx...We were cruising late one night when a evo and sti gave us revs..They looked very impressive and sounded crazy...
My friend calls me up and says that in the nsx's we dont want none...I then asked what about his C6Z06...He chuckeled and said that those two cars have both dynoed 600 rwhp and have a serious reputation...
They gave me a few demonstations of speed and they were fast..very very fast...My 1991 nsx with the supercharger is a 113 mph 1/4 mile car and It didnt evn seem like my car was moveing...
I dont like rice cars period...But Evos and sti's can be some very serious competition....
With all that said my stock C5 used to smoke the stock Evo's at the drag strip..he he he he

When I took a ride out to denver and drove a C5Z06. The car felt slow as all hell on I-70. Got back down to illinois and was like WOW, what a difference.
I had heard that cars around denver run about a 1second slower and 10mph slower in the 1/4 mile compared to here in illinois. That is a huge difference.
The turbo cars suffer a little bit but your C6Z is leaving a lot on the table.

I had the same thing when i bought my C6, I drove it to different states and I felt the difference
it really sucks how N/A cars loses that much power due to elevation....

I think at this point that it is common knowledge that slow vette has been "behind the bush" about his level of modification on the many videos he has posted..
But even though I am 99% sure..And should be really pissed off at him ect. for posting all those vids with false claims...
Theirs a part of me that wants to keep believing in Santa Clause or the boogie man...Theirs a part of me that wants to believe that the stock Z06 that I have seen in other videos get slaughtered by stock 08 Vipers and stock ZR1's and 570GTR's...Really just wernt well driven and that slowVettes intake only Z06 is the true represetation of what a Z06 can do...

Dont get me wrong...I think the C6Z06's are awesome cars...But after going from a 2004 vette to a 99 viper back in the day and seeing how big a deal everyone thought the Viper was ( even though I paid 10K more for the brand new vette) I just dont think the Z06 is quite rare enough for my taste now...
However...With the Ron Fellows..Well it's a limited production lil more special Z06..Dont get me wrong I know it is essentially the same car...But just that lil tidbit could make me want one as much as the Viper....
I know it seems lame...But the exclusitivity holds a lot of weight with me
