Correct but put slicks on a 5 speed mustang that was launching around ~2500 against a car with 20's on street tires and its a night and day difference. The mustang left hard as hell on me i just pulled it in alot faster.

Stopsign, his G8 is pushing 460+rwhp. What makes you disrespect those kinda cam+bolton numbers? Whether or not you like it, those G8 GT's are one of the best bang for the buck, and mod for the buck, deals around.
Remember, they are a L92 engine (basically a LS2 with LS3 heads). A upgrade that ALOT of LS2 owners have done is to simply put on the L92 heads/L76 intakes and cam and pulling 440-480rwhp all day long. Also, weights are I believe the same or lighter than the new Camaro. Not exactly svelte, but consider the heavy cars made today it might just be considered 'light' in a few years.

It looked like to me that the G8 was running MT's and possibliy a set of skinnies on the front. Just going by what i saw in the first 20 some odd seconds of the video.

Why make excuses? Your car had 20's...his car had slicks. Do you always bring a knife to a gun fight?
Oh, your car does sound very good though.

Ok since you have a mustang you probably dont know what its like to manage power.
When i car actually makes power, (read not a mustang) it is extremely easy to spin the tires. Take in to account that there is no track prep and even the possibility of gravel and they weight of 20 inch wheels and tires its hard as hell to hook up a car. Now take in a car making lessing rwhp and on a full out slick things are different.
The dsm that the g8 raced in the video, when i was on slicks on the street i pulled out of the hole and put about 4-5 cars on him by 60. Now when i ran him on street tires i had to pedal the car to 60. Its a huge difference.
