Actually 418/393 from a mild cammed 302 is near impossible, and certainly not with the parts he's claiming. TF heads on a mild cammed 302 would struggle to hit 318, much less 418. He's probably got at least a 347.

what's so hard to believe he killed a saleen that weighs more, has worse gears and probably ~150less rwhp.

but, we dont' know how much the rpm pull really was. regardless, I'm sure it was closer to 5-7.

Its a MILD 331cid stroker with a camshaft that is more suited for a 302cid motor. Look at it anyway you want but truth is this cam is an extremely mild cam for any SBF stroker. Most people put this cam in notched pistoned 302s and 306s.
I beat him as bad as I said, no exaggerations at all. I short shifted 3rd gear @ 6,000rpms and gave 4th gear alittle pull. However you want to slice it I went from around 45mph to 80mph when I looked down. In my rear view mirror he looked like a little spec and if I had to guess I would say he was 1/8th a mile back atleast. Maybe he gave up really fast. Don't know don't care.
