09 GTI vs LT1 camaro

If you are over 300rwhp now, then I rescind my offer for 10 car lead and set it at 6. ... not as if we are gonna actually run though Oh well, you should get your car to the 1/4 mile on a good DA day and see what it runs. 1/8 mile is merely "practice" for the 1/4 mile.

i never said id beat one that one guy said he beat me buy ten cars. and my car should trap now around 85 in the eighth and 108 in the quarter. so it take a car trapping like 118 to pull ten cars by one twenty which unless its bolt ons and cammed not happening

better? yes, stock for stock. after that, its just who spends more money. i have an LS1 and i have a couple LT1 friends that would walk right by me.

Ugh, cocky fellow LT1 owners really make me consider jumping ship and turning to the dark side with an LS1. Sad part is that I probably have too much money into my LT1 to make the switch anytime soon.

He has about 400lbs of weight reduction, close to 320rwhp (if and only if his former numbers were correct). How is this not close to bolt-on LS1's with no wieght reduction and 360 rwhp???
Give or take 20 hp I don't see a raping take place anywhere in this.

I love how the fast cars talk the least ****, and the weaksauce bolt-on rides pick on the stockish slow LT1s. Its like low budget minor league teams picking on the special olympics crew...sure, they are better then them, but they still ain't **** .
No duh a stock LTX is slow, they barely run high 13s in good air. A GTi still isn't hanving with one unless there are serious driver or mechanical errors. A full second difference is not going to just disappear easily. Stock LS1s are slow as hell too for that matter - and they basically are stock with "shorties" and head work when compared to an archaic LTX so of course they have the advantage, thats a given. 6 cars is BS though, pretty sure that was sarcasm .
I guess I was having wishful thinking that the site was improving when I didn't see this topic come up for like a month .
IBTL .

you will not find any cockyness in anything I posted I merely said what i thought was a light bolt on ls2 gto would be suprised at my car for what it is....next dyno it will put down same numbers as stock or close to stock ls1 car my guess is 310/340 which is saying i pick up 20rwhp and 10rwtq from a tune and 1.6s and fixing a bad lifter. Anyways with that said and weighing about 200lbs less than your average fbody thanks to my car being a stripper and about 450lbs lighter than a gto...and since most seem to think a ls2 gto and ls1 fbody are about = then, that stands to reason i would be a legit race with as good a chance of winning as losing against a stock one of either. and not get totally "raped" by one with just headers and c/b and maybe even eek out one win in like ten races because I am a helluva driver...other than that statement I have made no bold or cocky declarations...that is all

2. With the said full bolt ons and tune, you should be running high 12's/low 13's with some pretty good tires.

And I really really wish someone in a bolt on tune GTO would go rape this kid.

If dualz exhaust is gud, quad exhaust is moar better!!
I wouldn't go that far. Its just an SBC with a bad reputation from the opti...do you think they are **** too? There are more fast SBCs then fast LS1s at any given track FYI.
What killed LT1s back in the day was the lack of worthwhile aftermarket heads(or aftermarket anything for that matter). With companies like TFS, Dart, and AFR stepping up in the last year or so options have been increased tremendously...and we all know that power is made in the heads.
Not if they continue the trend and weigh 5,000 lbs by then .
Harsh . He already said he knows that he won't win, he just said they might be surprised by how he does. It surely wouldn't be a raping, and an LS2 GTO would win, but he might have a chance against an LS1 GTO.
Hell, isn't the LS2 already headers/CAI above the LS1 stock for stock? From what I remember the LS1 GTOs are a solid 25-30rwhp less then the LS2s, but its been a while since I did any kind of reading up on them.
