Default Back for more Vengeance! Allngn_c5 vs 350z w/Nitrous

Very glad to be back on here posting. Its been so long since I got any action I was thinking I'd never get any. Well with an 1100 gsxr albeit shitty rider, a wins a win and in the book. Up steps bozo number 2. Ultra clean atomic orange 350 z. Mods unknown other then 2 of the biggest fart cans I have ever seen. We are sitting at a long light and he purges a couple times and revs to get my attention. After seeing that I figure I'm about to get my *** handed to me by some Twin Turbo Nitrous 350z. On the contrary, I am guessing this joker was bone stock other then nitrous, exhaust and a tune. He jumped hard as **** out of the hole and I thought here we go, I'm going to get slaughtered. Hit second pull even and pass, hit 3rd and stand on it until 100 mph or so and he's way back. WTF happened !?!? He went with the light just like me but pulled a car ahead immediately and was looking good until I was near the top of 2nd and hit 3rd and it was all over but the crying. Had we went to the top of 4th it would've been BUSES, not just a few carlengths. I talked to him at the next light for 2 seconds and said his bottle wasn't warm and the pressure was way down. Claimed he had a 200 shot. I say 100 shot warmed, and good pressure. Just not enough for the 402. Sorry buddy, but you did win the hole shot so I must give you that. Hope to give him a rematch when his bottle is warm and its full. LOL. Ricer

Thinking back on it, maybe his nitrous shut off the way his car died after the launch? Who knows.

I saw a couple vipers out today coming off the expressway but I was going the wrong way. Maybe next time.

DISCLAIMER : Totally FICTIONAL, didn't happen. Just made up stuff to help pass the time.

honestly a 350Z is a 14.0 at 100 mph car..

100 shot makes it a 13.2 at 108 mph car

200 shot makes it a 12.5 at 115 mph car..

Moral of this story is that tthey just arent that fast..Good kill never the less

Yes it was most likely a LIGHT weight stepping into the ring with a HEAVY weight but a fights a fight. Also the way he jumped hard has got me wondering WTF ?

I hope to run into him if he's local, he might have more then we think and truly did have a nitrous issue. I'll update if I see him and get some info.

I had a guy I know open hose his 350z against mine and my friends stock c5 z06's. It hung with us for one gear and then the engine committed suicide.

Sounds like he didnt have good pressure or had a low bottle and had good pressure off the hit but couldnt maintain the pressure through the run. Good kill anyways though. Gotta hate bottle warmers....NANO FTW

yea I hate my bottle warmer..doesn't work half the time and takes forever when it does(that being a new one that replaced a new one that was bad from the factory)..nano sounds like the way to go..or I guess the ol trusty torch will do.

I hear that! I had to sit out most of last year (May through September) to my car being broken. Then I went into withdrawal once I fixed it and found myself cruising for a race in the winter, wondering why all the other cars on the road sucked. You wouldn't believe how few fast cars there are out when it's 20 degrees out

Those things trans and rearend gears are setup for 0-60mph, just like a new mustang. After that point they die off (again, just like a new mustang). I believe you get 3.73 gears when you order the performance package also. Low geared trans plus 3.73 plus a car that hooks well equals a stop light surprise.

A couple of good points. But it still seems like the car wouldn't have died the way it did.

Depends on the year 350Z, they varried some in weight in power from year to year. The quickest stock 350Zs were mid 13s at around 104MPH.

With a 100 shots their usually mid 12s at around 110MPH, 150 shots high 11s at around 114MPH, havnt seen any 200 shots personally but i'd imagine deep 11s at around 118+MPH.

Well I did trap nearly 127 mph in + 2400 da I think it was. I also let out just short of the finish. The run felt so fast I didn't want to get sent home. Boy was I wrong. LOL.

I've seen high 12's on 07-08 models with the 3.5HR.

Ive had a twin turbo 350z with nitrous. NA with a 100 shot is slow maybe 330rwhp, running anymore than a 100 shot stock block will blow up that motor. I did a TT kit stock block made 450rwhp at 8.5psi, built the block and made 667rwhp on race gas. Car never hooked untill like 100mph
