Its been a while since Ive driven a F-Body .

But Im sure that doing a first gear roll from 40 mph is just plain stupid since first gear in a camaro with stock gearing tops out at about 45mph.

Juice is so full of **** in every post he makes. I see him turn alot of good theads to trash in the racing section.

Did some researching. So is it safe to say stage one cobalt ss/tc's put down about 270ish at the wheels or about 320 at the fly? If so that's pretty bad ***. Maybe 350hp at the fly with full bolt ons and the stage 1 kit.

what is crazy is my 0-60mph was slower at the track then on the street!
i had a g-tec (which by the way was accurate within .1 of all my runs!)

damn wheel hop on boost at the strip is just plain scary. on the street, a lil spin is better then bouncing around and sending boost in spasms.

Cmon man, even Jack will tell you he was in 2nd gear that race. If you guys wanna duplicate the runs we're always down. You're trying to make it sound like the Camaro WASNT in the wrong gear when he was running 35-40mph rolls in 2nd. You're also trying to make it seem like the only reason the Camaro pulled so hard was because the Cobalt was in the wrong gear (which it clearly wasnt).

IDK why you don't believe me, the evidence is obvious and I was the one driving. Josh made the comment that starting from 5000rpm in 1st was kind of a bad idea, but check the results!

Damn that's impressive. I wish my Civic SI came with the S2000 engine so I could have 240hp instead of just 200hp I don't know why they didn't do that. With full bolt ons and a Hondata tune I'd only be able to pull around 250hp at the fly.

So I just confirmed that the camaro is at exactly 40mph at 5000rpm, and will come very close to 50mph at redline (6k). Also, here is a pic of 2nd gear at 35mph

If 2700rpm (when power kicks in at about 4000) isn't out of gear then I guess I'm just a huge bullshitter.

Nope, the stock z rated 16" tires are 25.6 inches.

well if you shift at 5500 (where the "redline" starts) its about 45mph. but if you take it to the actual redline, (6k) its about 50mph. I just did this today

Dont change up your story now, you said you were in first gear when you guys went from a 40mph roll

Like I said in one of my first posts , it was more like 20mph when you guys did the first gear roll. Which only gave you the advange since the cobalt only boosts 5psi in first gear. It had nothing to do with the camaro being in the wrong gear .

Go lie and cry to your moma not on LS1tech

Let me see if I can moderate this a bit before it comes to blows.

I believe Nick is saying that the races with Josh driving (races before the 2 minute mark) were from 40 mph and Josh started in second (hence his comment about the wrong gear).

Starting with the race at the 2 minute mark Nick was the driver. The first race with Nick driving was from a 40 mph roll and the Camaro started in first. The last race in the video was also from first, but from a lower roll (20 mph?). If you compare the race at the 2 minute mark and the last race then you can hear that in the first one the Camaro is at a higher rpm and is shifted almost immediately and in the last race it takes longer for the shift, indicating a lower starting speed.

Also, if you compare the races with Josh driving, it takes much longer for the shift than in the race at the 2 minute mark, indicating that the car was in a higher gear.

For the race at the 2 minute mark, I have no idea what gear the Cobalt was in or how high they can go (mph wise) in first gear.

This is just what I'm gathering from what's being said here and the video as I was not present for these races.

Carry on with the brawl
