How come the cobalt kept jumping on the second honk the first few races

And a stage 1 shouldnt try to race from a first gear roll, either digg or second gear roll.

lol it took the 4th race for the camaro to learn what gear to put it in. I also noticed the cobalt was taking off on the second honk . good runs nontheless

Yea hes got the same video in the multimedia section...Cobalt definately jumped.

The roll speed was the same, main difference was the camaro was starting in the wrong gear.

^^^ Didn't look the same really. Looked the the balt was passing him already by the time the third honk went off=jumped start. Good runs though, but notice the outcome when the right gear is selected in the Camaro.

The last three races he was the driver of the camaro I did get a little jump tho but the last 2 races I was in first and the cobalt is boost limited to 5psi in first gear so i had to play catch up but the camaro still pulls better in top end.

Nice runs. Looked like the Camaro was pulling pretty hard with a good driver.

Haha, that "good driver" was me. Josh isnt a bad driver he was just a little shy of starting in first gear. His car has horrible tires and when you romp on it in 1st and bang 2nd the car steps out a little and this scares a lot of ppl lol

from what i read, i would never let anyone convince me to go under 20mph from a roll.....1st gear is short and useless!

Hugger each race was from 40 with the Cobalt in 2nd except the race from a dig and the very last run. The difference is pretty clear and its safe to say the Camaro was starting in the wrong gear.

Its not that the camaro was starting in the wrong gear.

Its just the cobalt has a huge dissadvantage in a first gear roll race since the ECU only lets it boost about 5-8psi.

While in second gear the colbalt is open to full boost (~25 psi)

So it had nothing to do with the camaro driver or the gears.



Good runs still very close.

The race starting at 2:15 the Cobalt was in 2nd gear. Unless you can be in first at 40mph like the Camaro. I know this because we were at about 5000rpm in first and Josh said he was scared lol

If you look close You can see how slow the cars are rolling in the video the two times the camaro pulled away.

I understand eveyone wants to race to thier advantage.

But dont say the camaro messed up and was in the wrong gear. He just wasnt in a gear that was to his advantage is what you want to say.

Cause at 50mph both cars should be in second gear.
