I think its funny how people are acting about how times are what counts. A race is a race. I saw the race, and yes the mustang was trying to race him, not doing his own thing. The op whooped on him, and to poor salt on the wound, the mustang owner found out he couldnt catch up to a n/a ls1 with his supercharged 4.6. Yea looking at the times if the mustang owner could get off the line quicker it would be a different story. But who cares.

We are just pointing out that the Mustang is the faster car. Its pretty simple to figure out. Boosted or not boosted.

 

maby in that race it was the faster car, but i think if you take a mustang and a ls1 car and do the same mods to both cars, the ls1 will win hands down, but then again thats just my opinion and im no mustang expert.

no thats retarded, i really dont care what ppl have done to there cars ill still race them cause i like seeing fast cars do what they are built to do, go fast, if you win you win and vice versa. hell i can make a geo metro fast with enough time an money. im just sayin it takes a lot more money and mods to make a mustang go faster than it takes a ls1 car to do the same thing, its not my fault that mustangs dont respond to mods as well as a ls1 does, and both cars can be fast but how much are you willing to put into mustang to make it run 11's (just throwin a number out there) when those numbers are fairly easy for a ls1 car. and maybe im just talkin out my *** but it seems like it takes a lot more.

Well first, good kill OP. We all know how well lsx motors run and what they are capable of, but just a little advice, dont be knocking another type of motors that you have no idea about and what they are capable of. 302's and 351's are very very cheap to build. Oh and fyi, my little n/a 4.6 with a lot less money in mine is running the exact same times as you with a slipping clutch. Not tryin to be dick cause you have seemed pretty reasonable but just tellin ya not to get to cocky

 

im not gona give u a excuse at all, ill shake your hand and tell you thats a nice car you got there, an im also the kinda guy thats when its said an done and you need some help workin on it, you can call me and ill do what i can to come help because i can appreciate the work that goes into makin a fast car. and then when i do another mod to my car ill call you up an we'll see what happens.

obviously this mustang ls1 thing is not goin anywhere and we've waisted 6 pages arguing about it, so im willing to agree to disagree if you are, frankily im tried of arguing with you and it dont seem like either one of us is gona quit.
