I think the next thing we should compare is which back seats fit baby seats better.

I was being sarcastic. I can honestly say I've never given a crash test for anything more than a once-over, usually not even long enough to ascertain what is being compared.

I say we compare the amphibious abilities of each car next.

How dare you talk about your grandmother like that, son! Thats it, I'm taking the keys away from you for a month. And you can forget about that nitrous kit I was going to buy you for your 2v so you can outrun that boy you don't like with the stock LS1.

BTW Stopsign, I thought I was older than you?

Nah, I was nailing your mom when I was in diapers son. Back then sometimes I'd get her tit and your g-mam's mixed up. What a cat fight that caused!

13.5 @ 114 -street tires
12.8 @ 120 -slicks

he just bought it last week and the guy was kinda sketchy on mods. at least no cats, 3" Y pipe, cat back. might have 3.73s, i didnt know if he did the driveshaft turning test or not.

correct me if im wrong, but how the **** is this possible? i believe the ETs are, but the traps are super high (11s maybe?). its like 65* out now so could be some good air.

i might need to start a new thread about this if its true. they said they are taking video, but its gotta be BS. ill post 'em when i see 'em.
Something is wrong there for sure. 12.80 on slicks isn't good even for a bone stock '98 LS1.

I'd guess around 430-440rwtq with a good H/C/I package and 500+rwtq with a supercharger. I'm basing this off the numbers the previous 4v 4.6 put down with NA and FI setups compared to the stock numbers the 5.0 put down.

edit - typo, wrong engine.
so you think a 5.0L engine is going to make the same amount of torque as a well built 5.7L H/C/I LS1?

I finally found the page I was looking for.

http://forums.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=515518

Scott@VT Engines (600+/430 SAE) 3.7" Bore, Proprietary Stroke, Ported 05+ GT's (4valve) by Al/Cams/Sullivan Intake/Carbureted/RG.
3.7" bore on a stock 4.6L stroke would be 305", who knows what proprietary stroke is. the other guys are running 3.75" strokes which puts them at 322" (5.3L) and since this isnt the "5.0L HP champion" I am assuming its bigger than 5.0L.
Nazman (Stang32v) (537/403 SAE) 5.3L, Ported 03+ Heads/FR500 Intake/Big Cams/RG blend. See post #318 for details.
403 rwtq with 5.3L and 12.9:1 compression
Randy Haywood (548/439 STD*) 5.4L, Ported '00R's/Cams/Sheetmetal Intake/Carb.
439 with a 5.4L AND its STD (reads about 4% higher than SAE)

these are cream of the crop engines, they represent the most max effort 4v NA mod motors. they are all over 5.0L. the highest 5.0L rwtq is 390.

now, please, tell them they are wrong too

Just wondering but why are you comparing 4.6L 4v's that have been made to 5.0L to a completely different motor that happens to be the 2011 5.0L? Do you think that just because 5.0L = 5.0L that they are the same? What about the intakes of each setup? What about the cam designs? What about the engine management systems? You don't look very far past the first page of the books you read do you?
