I still dont think a cam only cts V could keep up with the zo6 at all. It would be more like 8 to 10 cars.

Hey buddy i dont know what to tell you, WE all though for sure the Z06 was going to pull me hard, I did a video the night before the race to see what my 60 to 150mph is, I know Im in the LOW 3sec range 0 to 60, and from 60 to 150 only takes my car around 14 sec. So 3+14 puts me around the 17sec range 0 to 150. So after i showed my dad that he was like humm.. well i think this will be close lol.
here is the video.

and here is a video of my car at byron, just the speedo, sorry for the zoom in.

I think the big yank PT 4400 converter eats some of my mph in the 1/4 mile.
To be honest, im not sure yet, Im still undecided if i want to pull the trigger and install the Stroker 416cid, or Just sell the GTO and get a Z06, You can find a 2006 C6 Z06 pretty darn cheap now a days and same with a C5 Z06.
Still not sure, I love the GTO to death, have had it since 07 new, and has been a blast to build and drive. But when its all said and done its still just a GTO lol. A sleeper GTO that is ![Angel](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_angel.gif)

Just to give you an idea of how fast a 9 second 60-130 mph time is, compare it to the cars on the following list. You can see you are quicker than a Gallardo, F430, GTR, GT500 etc. You are pretty much dead even with the slower time in my 335i. (9.0 sec 60-130, 11.7 @ 124mph 1/4) That is street trim. 32mpg hwy, stock mufflers/rear cat, etc. My fastest time on the list (6.9 sec 60-130, 11.33 @ 132.7mph 1/4) . Note, one of the fastest stock Z06 times was around 7.8 secs, but its totally plausible with a passenger, etc, it might be in the high 8's, and therefore pretty even with your car.

Aside from the traction issues, you can really see how a car accelerates using the widely used 60-130mph times. By timing your speedometer you can see you are right around 9 seconds.

Your car must launch like a bat out of hell! I just ordered some NTO5r drag radials. I'm really excited to see how they compare with the Hoosiers that I have worn down to the cords. I do a lot of testing. On my street tires, my 60 times seem to hover around 2.1-2.2 sec. With the NT555r I was around 1.9-2.0r. At the track the Hoosiers have been anywhere from 1.7-1.9x. If I can get consistent 1.8-1.9s at the track with a tire I can to and from the track, I will be happy.

Cars with good power/weight ratios and trap speeds shine in the 60-130. Other cars which seem pretty quick stock because of their 0-60 times such as the Lotus Elise, Evo, STi, (but have lower trap speeds) generally don't do to well in this test. The cars at the top of this list are the kinds of cars that will do really good in every day encounters on the fwy etc. Which is a good indicator, since most of us don't usually line up next to someone at an intersection, do full warm up burnouts, etc, to race properly from a dig. But all else the same, these same cars with proper traction will tear up the 1/4 mile pretty good too.

OK Ill do it in a few days..Ive got an FX2 timer as well as camera mount ect....
I know before I did the exhaust/tune/light weight fly wheel/light weight underdrive pulley I could get 0-60 in 3.9-4.1 and could run 11.8-12.1 at 119-122 mph
So I thik that back then I would need aprox 13.5 seconds total to hit 130 mph..minus the 4.0 seconds to hit 60 mph..
So aprox 9.5 seconds maybe back then? Nothing special whats so ever compared to that list.
Cant wait to see what she can do!

I think my 60 to 150 is pretty quick but I can't tell if it's me going that fast or just the tires breaking loose on the street.
Hey SLO next time you're going up to Byron let me know and I'll saddle up and meet you out there. I just added some more horse and I need to see what she does on slicks and a 2 step. The only thing I don't like about Byron is the short shutdown area. I really need to install the chute.

Honestly we would be a good race..500 rwhp on a srt10 will only pull a stock Z06 by a 1/2 car to 1 car..I have 100 pounds weight reduction so maybe I would only be 2 cars ahead of a Z06 (got a friend with a stocker so we will test this theory soon) so being that you can run dead even with one we would be a good race..
Did you ever race your gto against your black viper?

I put about 3 lengths on a 2003 SRT10 Viper and 4 lengths on a CLK 55 AMG Mercedes about month ago in my 2002 Z06. Those cars are just to heavy. And I was all stock, Besides the Zip/Tie Mod. We did a 80-170. I didn't have my camera on me at the time. It would have been a cool video to put up.
