Honda bit off more than it could chew! I was out for a cruise last night, minding my own business trying to relax and get some things off my mind, when I see some toolbox in a newer integra tail me and follow. No big deal, thought for once it may just be some kid in a hurry and NOT wanting to race. I'm in the left lane, passing cars, so when theres no more traffic, I move over to allow him to get by.
As I'm moving over, I see this kid roll his passengers side window down and match my speed... I kinda shook him off and didnt want to embarass him infront of his friends in his car and tried to save his ego just a tad. I shook my head, he down shifts and takes off... Puts the hazards to signal a win (he was racing himself... And I'd still consider it a loss since it was a **** poor effort and display) and slows back down and laughs... Then gives me a thumbs down! I'm like WTF? Kid now tries the whole "lets beep 3 times and go on the second" routine.. Except I still didnt go.. And let him race himself.
Once again... This kid slows back down and starts laughing... Gives me another thumbs down... And continues to match my speed and stay next to me. I've had enough.. I had no intentions on racing this toolbox, but he pretty much asked for it. I open my cutout and he decided to just take off without beeping this time. I almost think it was as if he was trying to run away in fear. I downshifted, reel him in as if he was standing still, and then let off as I'm a solid 10-15 cars in front. I slow back down and the kid has his window rolled up this time and just continues on his way. I was laughing pretty hard in my car as he went by. I think that shut him up pretty quick.
He asked for it! I didnt want to embarass him infront of his friends in his car... But dont be a dick!!
Moral of the story.. Integra's with just a fart cannon shouldnt mess with LS1's!

I've been trying to ignore the rice too! That was the worst thing.. Not worth the risk, time, or money..

I never pass up a race, even if its a kid in a grandpa buick, I like putting cocky people in check sometimes, especially kids in their riced out turd mobiles. Should have given him thumbs down when he rolled up his window....

no wonder i cant get a race with my fellow ls1 guys......
i sometimes feel like an idiot as i try to egg on some v8. this rather annoys me since many do not relaize i am more than just a regular ol cobalt ls.
i usually get the "are u crazy" look....then when i finally get their attention with a few pfffft pffffts and they go, i end up having to explain what an SS slobalt comes with after they catch back up
i say, dont worry about embarrasing anyone and if u are the type of person to nail it had it been a faster car.....then by all means nail it and show me what u got.
as a side note, the OP original post never happens to me
i would have done what you "eventually" did, on the 1st thumb down...

Whata sack of shiat! The only time I ever ran into another jackass car guy was when my brother and I were drivin down preston road in Frisco when I saw a suburu wrx that looked real nice. Started srivin past him when we both look at eachother. I gave him a smile and he gives me a thumbs down and lipped "you have no chance"... from this point I was like **** racing " dude ill beat your ***! Shut the **** up! That was pretty funny cause he just took off zooming thru traffic and I just let him go... I'm always down for a fun run but act like an ***, get beat like one!
