So im headed home from work and theres a black 05-09 Saleen right behind me as i get off the freeway. I wanted to see if he would run me so i slowed down and he caught up and got right up on me. After the light we started to go and he immediately got in the left lane and tried passing me but got cut off and i went through the next light before him. After the light i pulled off the road onto a side street and waited for him to go. Well i figured he was going to walk me but i wanted to see how my car ran against him so as he left the light i pulled out and started speeding up to match his speed ( around 50 ). He got next to me and we looked at each other and hit it. I was in second at around 50-55 and i pulled ahead of him by a quarter of a car till the top of 2 and when i hit 3rd i gained another quarter of a car. By the time i had to shift to 4th there was traffic so we had to brake.

He seemed like a cool guy ( younger rich kid ) he couldnt have been older then 24. He was surprised i beat him and asked what i had.

Just wondering what you guys think?

His car was stock from what i could tell. No loud exhaust or anything. But still very nice car.

I raced a S281 Red Flag (465hp supposedly) awhile back and pulled him exactly like you did this one, with probably the exact same rwhp as you (full boltons LS2). So I would assume you either ran a red flag or a 281SC (same engine as red flag).

Good kill man. I think you raced the Saleen S281 3V which has I think 335 HP, don't quote me tho. The race should be close b/c his car is a bit lighter (3600lbs), and it has 3.73. But it should still be a good race. If you only had the LS2 then you would have defiantly beat him.

But for 50k this car is junk!

I wished i had the LS2 as well man. I think it was the S281. It was definitley a nice car though. Im hoping to do a FAST 102mm intake here soon and should hopefully get to 380 RWHP. I want to do heads as well but the wife wont let me

I dont know about that: I witnessed a coworker's Sti conversioned Forester take out badly one of those 3v Saleens awhile ago. Talking 4-5 cars from 20-100ish. And I pull on that Forester pretty good now that I've got LT's and a custom tune. (Barely pulled him with just cai, SLP tune, catback).

Haha it is what it is man, your car is still nice. I like the GTO's a lot just mod it some more and really put the hurting on him. And

Yeah but for 50k brand new thats just a insane price for what it has done to it. For that you can buy 2 C5Z's .

Mine was just a fixer i bought. Salvaged title. 5 grand. Motor and everything were fine. just body damage. Found the body parts and cheap *** maaco paint Im going to fix the paint right some day but you cant tell till your right next to it lol.
