Ahh, I was right. Figured to run those times, you guys must have been at one of those mystical fast tracks: ie, any track not on the west coast.

[rant]Up here, '05+ Mustang GT's run 14.0, SRT8's run high 13's, G8 GT's run low 14's, and it takes full boltons and a good launch to hit a12.93 @ 107.7mph in my GTO before the 3400 stall. That track (Pacific) is only 10' above sea level for christs sake! [/rant]

Wow i feel bad for yo, when me and my friends went in June last year in wisconsin i ran a 13.0 at 109 with ZERO mods for my best, and a few 13.1s at 108 as well.

Is this cause ALL due to elevation or what?

It's not elevation. Don't know why, but Pacific Raceways (formerly S.I.R. or Seattle International Raceways) is known as a slow track. Part of that is the tomb-like conditions at the track (ie, zero wind and is located in a bit of a bowl in the landscape) that holds heat badly: Day that run above was taken, it was mid 60's temp-- but easily mid 80's in the staging lanes and burnout box.

Bremerton raceways about 1 hour south/west of Pacific is the local "fast" track and always has a good ocean breeze: guys predictably run better times there.

This is our just started Northwest Run List:

Good example is Mayberry: his best time was 13.2 until he added LT headers then immediately went to Bremerton and got a 12.6 w/same 60' time- untuned!

Another example: Baker's vette has LS6 heads, full exhaust, 3.90 gears, vavaram, tune and he can drive- trust me, raced him a few times. He just moved here from the midwest: he ran 12.1? 12.2? on this exact same setup over there. 11.8 on ET Streets. Aint gonna happen at Pacific unless he uses his 150 shot!

You really should tell the truth on your mods. For that^^^ to happen, I would presume a 50 shot or equivelant 50rwhp gain from mods to hang with him. And 50rwhp worth of mods ontop of your full exhaust/tune/cai just aint ripe for the pickin.

Don't get me wrong, a win's a win, a loss is a loss-- a tie is just one of those first two waiting to happen. you know, the whole "run what ya brung" thing? Just don't go trying to tell us you're stock with just those listed mods.

Hey 06Mustang: how about doing your friend a favor and swap cars? Might just be driver error. If not, don't know what to tell you other than I've raced dozens of '05 & newer GT's and they never once stood a chance, even when I was stock. Even a supercharged one claiming to make 420rwhp lost to me right after I got my LT headers and custom tune- 2 times.

My GTO is not any faster than any other LS2 GTO: which is why the others on this board and I have a hard time buying that Ford made some sleeper than is 50-80 rwhp stronger than all the others. Which begs the "Youz runnin' NOZ?" lame ricer question.

Lol no man. No nitrous. My car is just a damn good running 3v. I have actually pulled a roushcharged 3v myself too. Idk what the deal is, but its the way it is. As for the GTO it was an A4, so yes if we switched cars the GTO would win because he doesnt know how to drive my car like I do.

Only vid with all my current mods.

3 valves are strong motors. I don't know why everyone is in disbelief on this. They are robbed from the factory by a heavy *** 2 piece driveshaft and heavy *** clutch/flywheel combo. I forgot which magazine, but motor trend or something did a test and with ONLY a 1 piece driveshaft and intake they got a 12.8 or something out of a 3 valve. 06mustangGT's car has plenty more mods than that and if I had to guess I'd give it a mid 12 at the strip. IMO thats plenty to even out a headers, tune GTO. When your talking tenths of a second, driver has a lot to do with it as well, and he was probably a better driver.

And no offense to anyone....I like GTO's.......but I would PAY to see a headers, intake, tune GTO beat my bros roushcharged GT. Aint gonna happen. He's already got one under his belt and he just kept pulling on it.

How about a headers, intake, tune, stall GTO in the 1/4 mile? You stick guys get trick lightweight flywheels and multidisk clutches: fair is fair after all.

Have you ever had yours to the track? I'd be curious to know what it would run. Don't know what it is but almost every GTO by me suffers from "**** driver" syndrome. Every time I'm at the track they are either at 13's flat or they just break into the high 12's with bolt ons. Never seen a quick one up here.
