Default Just ran up on a R6

Well coming out of my neighborhood in the 5.0 going to KFC with dad to eat, we pull out on the empty 6 lane highway and behind I can see a bike. Don't think much of it and was wondering if it was one of my friend's on their bikes. He gets near my rear and I guess he read my tag because he geared down and flew past me and hit the brakes about a carlength ahead to get back along side me. He rides beside me for a minute and I hear him downshift and he jerked on his handlebars trying to get it to do a wheelie at around 50mph, but no dice. It wouldn't do it. So there is a redlight ahead I was REALLY hoping would change because I would murder him from a dig with the new suspension and gears. But it turned green before we got to it. My dad said "Buddy that bike better have more than that if you want some" so I just smiled and geared down to 5th and ran along side the guy, then down to 4th, and rode next to him for a minute. We stayed side by side and I downshifted into 3rd and punched it and instantly started walking on him. He was trying but little bike didn't have enough. I ran out 4th gear some and the kid had let off a long time before. But he would never come back along side me.

I did some looking and it looks like I ran into a 2002 R6. Anyone know what these things run in the 1/4th? Couldn't be anything great by what I saw.

They have 120hp and trap roughly at 120mph (run low 11's).

Nice kill douche bag.

This must be with a great driver, so if the rider sucks, it will be slower than this.

Anyway, good kill.

If he couldn't wheelie then he needs the ridermod for sure. Probably mid to high 11s in that case.

Grats on the kill, bully .

If I remeber correctly your 1/4 time from your sig said you trapped about 108mph? in the high 12's?

I dont think the guy on the bike was trying, or he didnt drop enough gears and hit it in 5th.

It take some serious power to beat a bike, especialy from a roll.

Sounds like an even race to me. Older 600 giving you the hit should be a decent race 60-120 unless the guy got caught off guard lol.

Being a NEWBIE I could see where you would make this mistake.. No worries though.. By serious power, how much are we talking here? Because I really don't think I am making serious power and I out ran a CBR600rr 5 out of 5 times and this was from a roll!!

We'll serious power depends on what your comapring to, I used to think 400whp was serious power. Now that Im there I think high 500-600 is serious power.

The avatar of your front end lifting means your making serious power IMO lol

good kill. Running low 11's like that I would think you would murder him pretty good. What gears are you running?

am i the only one that calls bs here? bikes are made for highspeed racing not drag racing. The OP has suspension and gearing for the 1/4, yea he should launch harder from a dig but once a bike is going those things move out and keep going. my dad was messing around with a buddy in his z06 and my friend on his 07 fz6 (small step down from r6) and they went from a 40 roll and my friend still pulled out about a car and a half or 2 cars. Yes you mustang might be faster in the quarter than a z06 but ill bet you that once you get past the quarter a z06 walks you. something just doesnt add up here...
