Only because your car is modded, mod the G8 and you won't win the race. (Even you said that earlier)

he has an exhaust i have a tune

if i were untuned.....it would have been neck and neck based on the lengths i pulled.
i trapped 103.5 stock and ran a 14.3. although i admit the numbers do no justice as there is zero lag now.

no doubt when he gets tunes hes gona whup me and im gona need an aftermarket tune to keep up

You have a stage 1 kit, and a tune yields more power than an exhaust on the G8.

well, i cant untune it but im pretty sure it would be a damn good race if i were stock. fr comparisons sake my best race while stock was with a ls1 goat, 350z, lt1 vette......

anyway, you realize im given you hell cause u appear to have a G8 and you are in my thread plus i have nothing against the ride, i want one and the are bad ***.....but regardless of who had what mod and what ifs......he lost

SRZ beat up a few stock Cobalts pretty bad in his stock G8.
100% legitimate setup races with people who can drive.

^Haha, I forgot we got that run on video.

I didn't have a passenger for that race and the Cobalt did, so that could make a decent difference.

Great races, hugger1975, I know you've been on the hunt for a while now!

thanks! i have been waiting forever to run him
i would imagin the passanger meant a lot. i can feel the difference when someone is in my car. similiar to the concept of a bike. good power and lightweight loses a little something when you toss 200 more pounds in there.

Yeah, a lighter car will be more affected by the same amount of weight.

Defensive much? The OP and a friend went out and raced two nice cars as they sat, modded or not, and he posted daytime video results for us to enjoy. Jesus Christ, can't anyone just say "good race" anymore without whining about how if their car had equivalent mods or money put into it then it would win?

The G8 lost. Deal with it. And yes, there IS a good way to make a comparison between these two cars: go line them up from a dig and a roll and get it on video. And that's exactly what the OP did.

Hugger, awesome races!

thanks man, that's all i wanted to hear. for most of my kills i have to resort to well written stories to keep reader attention since i rarely get a vid. this time i did and the results were surprising.

i can understand ownership pride but damn
needs to take a lesson from the other open minded G8 guys on here

at the end of the day, its just a DD so when a neighborhood guy takes out the slobalt, he gets to meet the hugger. last week i got tore up by a zr1 but didnt post it because it was very short and it got ugly for me after a gear (random)

Hugger, what else can you do to the Slobalt? I don't know much about them. CAI, cut out, Trifecta tune? How much do full bolt on and tuned Cobalts throw down?
