I was driving to work last night, minding my own business, when I noticed a car riding close to my rear bumper. When the next lane opened up, the car accelerated past me. It was a Prelude I've seen around town before, typical mild bolt-on car. The driver gave me a hard stare as he passed, actually turning his head to keep staring at me as he drove by. I figured it was time to put him in his place.

I dropped down to 4th gear and floored it. I pulled past him at WOT and then let off, figuring it would probably scare him off. Instead, he came back for seconds. We pulled up to a red light on the highway in some traffic. It turned green and as soon as I got a clear stretch of road, I punched it in 2nd gear and ran up to 4th before letting off. The Prelude was nowhere to be seen, and he didn't try to catch up after that.

I should've clarified this in my original post. I did not race the Prelude. I only showed him there was a bigger dog on the road that night. I was waiting for him to catch up so I could race him, but he never caught up to me. If I run into him again, I'll try to get him to race.

I don't know what it is about import guys, but they always think because they have some hp and are light that they can spank ls1's. I run into that quiet a bit. I guess they don't take tq into consideration. thats what is the downfall of all those na k20's out there it seems. Don't get me wrong, some can run good, but most think they have a 12 second car when they have a low 14 at best.

i was talking to some fellow ls1 f-body guys once when this guy cam up and asked me what i ran in the 1/4, at the time i told him i was in the 12's. he laughed and said he had a 93 probe gt that ran 12's. i looked his car over and it was just that tiny v6 they had with a cold air intake and exhaust, so i said, you do mean 12 in the quarter right?? not 12 seconds 0-60. some guys just have no clue what they are talking about and make up crazy **** just to look big

Had a guy in a Civic with a "Turbo" badge try to race me. I didn't realize he was racing me until after I rolled passed him, and slowed for traffic. He came barreling by me, rolling white smoke out his exhaust, at about 7k rpm.
