2002 GTS Viper vs. 98 WS6 vert 6 speed
a few months ago i raced a 02 viper on a little road, i followed him for a while to run him,i ask if he wanted to run he said "sure" BTW i had a lid, mac mid's with a off road pipe,MAF,MAFT and new nitto drags. we did the honk thing and man i must of dropped it perfectly, i launched like a mother f*cker, i had him till 75 or so, he only had 2 cars at 100, not too bad huh, i think hes 480 from the fly. i put down like 330+ but i still consider this race one of my favs.

Nice death.....most people I know w/ viper's cant drive for ****....just like most of the peeps w/ a zo6, weekend warrior type. But this guy obviously had some sense about him but he shoulda left you by a lot more. My T/A w/lid,exhaust, and free mods didn't stand a chance against my stock viper.
Nice death, to my favorite car.
I'm sure you'll remember this race for awhile, so start modding and go out there and beat him!

This doesn't suprise me.. Anybody less than average would be slow as hell in a viper. I drove one and it took me several attempts to even hit 3rd gear without blowing the tires off. I've always been able to just break some off in 3rd, but I had to feather that thing or it was gonna get wild. That being said, I think it'd be fairly hard to launch a viper without chasing a ditch, but being quick at the same time. It'd have to be the perfect amount of clutch and gas.
Peace,
