Default Got beat by a Cobra

Everyone bitches that no one ever posts their loses. Well I was coming back from Monday nights Rice Killers mega meet, and I saw a Blue Cobra lining up with some kind of Bike. They ran a couple times with the bike BARELY edging him out. figured i would see if i could hang. Ran the cobra from 60-110 and he pulled like 2-3 cars on me. Car was fast. Dont know what it had done didnt get a chance to ask him. He did run the bike a couple more times tho and was hanging very well. Im thinking a ported blower to put 3 cars on my cam only car? chime in if you have ideas. So far I am 1-2 against cobras

That cobra probably had ported and polished potatoes in the exhaust.

I bet he had bolton's and a 2.8 pulley. If So they usually make 455-465 or so. I ran a pullied Cobra with my old H/C setup. I was making 455 and he was making 464 and we were dead even for 6 races.

All the S/C Cobra's are usually fast right off the showroom with a few mods. Could you identify what year Cobra you went up against?

That must have been a shitty bike earlier in your post OP.

Good death though. I've posted my own death by a KB cobra as well....

Ha I didn't even notice that! Yeah I would assume ported blower and tune, with your mods you should have walked a stock-ish one.

Mind if I quote you for life? 'Cause this is more than sig worthy.

You've got yourself a pretty stout combo there OP. Yeah I would have to say he was ported/pullied 3 car lengths sounds about rite

Time for a 100shot.

I post my races no matter the outcome, just so happens I don't lose very often.

....but thats because I race whatever I bump into on the road for the most part. Not many modded cars driving around here. I'm due for an *** kicking.

+1. highly doubt it was ported..... never know though. Also I am sure he was VERY heat soaked after racing a bike a few times first.

I also agree just a pulley and bolt-ons.. if he was ported 5-6 cars at least would have ensued I'm guessing.. good death! Time for more mods!

Agreed....and the OP would've needed a telescope to see the Cobra if he was running a twin screw.

I guess that depends on the particular Cobra. Guys run 9's or 12's with twin screw Cobras. It's all about the setup and the driver, as you know.
That's any car though.

OP - good run.
