The cobra should be running around 110 or higher all day long. I'd take the timing cover off and put it dot to dot instead of advanced. my 95 Cobra had a 302, afr 165's, e cam, perf rpm, 4.10's and a stock t 5 and I went 12.50's at 111 on a pos nitto. You could bracket race the cobra though b/c you're consistent lol

Sweet runs both of you. Totally missed this thread lol. And yea snake, throw a better cam in there! What are the specs of that trick flow stage 1? Not sure how your intake flows compared to others, but a freind of mine has an SN95 with a 10:1 306, edelbrock heads, pretty big cam (I think mid 500 lift), and a carbed set up with 4:10's. His only time to the track he got a 13.2 at 107 mph on a **** 2.1 60ft. Same basic set up as you but bigger cam and 2 mph is a big difference. 302's are picky engines. They need the perfect set up to run good, but when you find it, they do run!

Hey nice to see some real friends running. Congrats to you both. I have no idea how his car should run or what number it has in it. Keep at it and hopefully you will achive your goals. That being said I'm suprised how slow your cars are after all the smack you guys talk. Good luck with your cars and I know they will be fast some day. As for the DRs drop them to #15 take it high and dump it learn from there. Good luck and run that car out the back and hope for the best.

Personally, I think it's cool that two members here met up, had some fun racing, and posted a vid for us. That and they had the ***** to post up the vid knowing some
knuckleheads here would critique them and criticize them.

Someone who goes around telling people they have a 12 second car when the runs can't be duplicated is just compensating for something.
My first 3 passes in my GTO, EVER when it was bone stock were a 13.3, 13.1, 13.01. Could I have run 12's in it stock? Maybe, I'll never know though. As the very next trip to the track I added DR's and ripped off 3 12.5's in a row with each run being within .02 seconds of each other. And the last trip to the track with my Regal, on all season tires I ran 14.1, 13.5, 13.2 with my best 60' being a half a second off my worst 60'. Very inconsistent due to the lack of traction. With DR's it too would run very consistently.
You're all saying how consistent his driving was, what makes you think he's gonna all the sudden drop 2 tenths? Chances are I could get into his car, never having driven it EVER and come within a tenth of his best times (it's been done so many times now I can't even remember the count). Anyone who needs "seat time" in a 260rwhp car with all the traction it could ever need is just making excuses.

Yes, a car that cracks a miracle once in a lifetime 12.99, but then 99.99999999999% of all the other runs it makes are in the 13's, it's a 13 second car, not a 12 second car. A 12 second car is a car that can go out on any given day and run 12's. His Cobra is in fact, a 13 second car. And if he takes another 100 shots at it, and runs that miracle 12.99 once, it's not a 12 second car, he got lucky.

He needs a set of 26" tall ET Streets. Those drag radials have more of a chance of breaking something. As his car sits it will run between 12.7 and 12.5 I'd say with a set of ETs or Drags.
